Difference between 2010/2011 C63 AMG
Hi, I currently own a 2011 mustang GT 5.0 and was looking into purchasing either a 2010/11 C63 AMG. Was just wondering if there are any differences between the two cars. Also, couldn't seem to find the a solid answer for the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of these vehicles. Would appreciate feedback, thank you!

2013 S63 AMG
Not sure on the differences exactly if any, I believe in 2012 there were changes to the transmission and a front face lift.

2011 can come with p31, which has forged internals and a more power engine, a slightly different 2 piece front rotor, red calipers. Not sure if the carbon spoiler comes with the P31 or if it's part of the exterior carbon package.

I would get a 2011 outside the affected range of the headbolt issue just for peace of mind. Find a P31 if you can or save your money and buy a "standard" C63 and get a tune. Either way, get an extended warranty.

The CF spoiler is part of the p31 package on 2011's.

96 C220, 85 300D, 2012 C63 AMG
MCT will deliver more power to the ground unlike the past models with the torque converter. Shifts are faster to. I would drive one of each. Theres a lot of people who swear by the MCT. Still there is flaws with this a swell. If you do a lot of track, some find issues. Ive heard this can be fixed with a black series oil cooler for the trans. BMW has had these same issues.

The improved mct supposedly shifts milliseconds faster, but many complain about limp mode on 2012s and beyond. Pre facelift didn't have that many complaints unless you tracked it the whole day and not just short sessions. Info I just gave was based on memory from reading and living on this forum.

P30 brakes are expensive to maintain. Only get them if you plan on actually racing the car at a track. A tune is around $1000, so even if you don't get one w the P31 package, you can get as much power and more very easily. That also goes for top speed limiter. Only thing that I think is worthwhile for a street car is the LSD...but the cars do just fine without those too.
