Mileage Accuracy on OBD Reader
Just wondering because my "miles since DTCs cleared" is 35 higher than my mileage on dash.
I'm the only owner and ordered the car.
Could AMG or the dealer dial back the mileage?

I don't know about MB but some manufacturers allow reset of odometer below a limited distance - clear new car delivery travel.
OBD as I understand it only reads the distance from the vehicle system so assume the dealer/MB did a reset.

I used scantool. I also have torque. I'm not a whiz at yet. Played around with all of the settings/etc for almost the whole day yesterday.
I went into my error code section on scantool app and it had a MID fault, P0072 fault, and "mileage after DTCs cleared" and was reading 35 miles higher than my dash.
I got my car at 22 miles so that means it has had 57 on the internal clock before I started driving it.
I'm confused. Going to ask my SA about it right now and also find out what those codes are.
My dash has never lit up any warning lights for any reason. I just wanted the reader for checking errors that don't show up on lights.

They cannot legally change the odometer reading, ever, no matter what the reason, at least not in the US, that is why brand new cars almost always have a few miles on the clock.
As for why the mileage differs, I do not know, in theory what you read from the OBD should be the same source as what your vehicle odometer is readin from.

OBDLink MX. I didn't really check mileage. I was checking for codes and 1 line read "mileage since DTCs cleared xxxxx" where x was the mileage. I haven't cleared any codes. It was a logged code. As I drive the x increase in mileage and is always 35 miles higher than my dash. Asked my SA he said he doesn't know why it would read different.
Hoping it's AMG that did it and not the dealer. There's a law from the 70s that prohibit anyone from changing the mileage. I have a theory though.
I think AMG test every car before delivery.

typically at pdi the codes get cleared, lots of ghost/low voltage codes. No there is no way to reset the mileage. You scan tool is not xentry so i dont know why you think itd read things like that accurately. hell half the time xentry doesnt know what its talking about lol. usually its it km not miles. maybe thats the case?
