Tint ticket
In California there's a law stating I think you can't go lower than 70% or compltely no tint. I got pulled over with 35% but it's just a fix it ticket. My court date is tomorrow and this is my first tint fix it ticket. Do I peel off my tints myself, how , can I just peel off the front 2 and get it redone? Also how much would a ticket be if I got pulled over for tints again? the tints not only make the car look very nice, but it literally feels drastically better when the sun hits your skin.

There's a spray they sell at your local auto parts shop that basically dissolves the glue so you can start peeling off. A heat gun and a scraper would probably help with the liquid dissolver.
As for the laws in California I dont know but I know in Chicago a tint ticket here is 250 dollars each time.

My brother got a tint ticket. All he had to do was prove that you can see someone in the car. So we took a picture of me in the car on the suniest day and had the windows up and sunroof open. He got out of it with the pic.

^^^COrrect...Steam is the ONLY way...don't think that you can get away with a heat gun or blow dryer because heat without moisture will actually bake the adhesive even more and make it more difficult to remove. You need moisture in the form of steam (high heat). This will undo the adhesive.
I might be shipping my car to CA and have 35% tint and am worried...

I'm also in SoCal so I know tint is a necessity with our terrible AC on these cars. The tint laws are also complete BS. The rule states that you need to have 70% light go through the glass so technically the only legal tint you can have in CA is the Llumar/FormulaOne Air Blue, but as far as I know, police officers typically don't give you trouble for tint unless you are so blacked out they can't see inside the vehicle. My car has the tan interior so it's not a problem with 35% tint, but the black interior on my BMW makes the tint look a lot darker.
The tint ticket is a fix-it ticket. If you or any of your buddies know a police officer that is cool with tint, then just have him/her sign off on the ticket saying you took your tint off. Then just take that to the court house and pay the $25 each time you get pulled over.
Personally, I would never take my tint off. Just find a police officer and have them sign off on it. If you can't find one, then remove the fronts and reapply them afterwards.
