So im currently still in college and i got a c63 coupe for my bday. the First time i drove it to school this guy looks at my car for a while and looks at me and says **** you as i was getting in my car to leave. and i was like excuese me? and he just turned around and gave me this death stare. after that i feel like people will key my car or something if i ever drive it to school. any one else drive theirs to school and can share some experiences/advice on avoiding people that will mess up your car?

Just wow. Some people. Did you double park or have a swastika on the back? Oh. And I drove an 89 S10 in college and the an 01 GTX so I can't relate but I'd hope people have more respect for others property than that.

Jealousy is a *****, I wouldn't recommend bringing the car to school though. When I had my modded wrx in college it got keyed twice and backed into in a school lot, the same guy then threw a full milkshake on it Imagine the reception a new(ish?) c63 would get... Unless you go to a nice private school where kids drive similar cars.

Just be light on the gas pedal around campus and you should be ok. If you drive like a douche and roll with the windows wide open, music blasting, with a "look at me!" smirk on your face, expect some hate.

Jealousy is an ugly beast. I live in a college town and I see plenty of really nice cars rolling around. Most stay unscathed but every now and then I see key marks. Mostly I think if you keep a low profile and don't act like a total entitled douche people should leave you alone. With that said, I personally try and stay away from campus. I feel like many students suck at driving and parking. When they drive a rusted out car with 800,000 miles on it they just don't care if they back into your amg.

Now that I think of it, we had plenty of students driving around campus (See username, lol) in Lamborghinis and Ferraris besides the usual 911s, AMGs / Ms / Z06 / Aston martins.

Infact I used to see atleast 1 different supercar everyday. You know what I did?
Clicked pics and collected my dropped jaw from the tarmac just dreaming abt the supercar.

Not once did jealousy ever cross my mind. I was always fascinated by those cars. Didn't care if a 60 yr old professor was driving it or a 17 yr old fresher.

You, zephyr, and I can be bronies. Our mindset is the same. I'm an enthusiast for cars, jrpgs, and magic the gathering. You could have Jace, the mindsculptor in foil and I wouldn't want to tear it up because it is just too awesome. Plus it's really overpowered.

Honestly, I had zero issues at school, but half way through my junior year I did opt to get a storage unit and buy a 1988 e30 as my DD to get around campus lol haha

Just dont be a a**h*** no matter what you do there will be some people that will just hate on you just because jealousy is a bit** but if your really worried just try not to draw attention to your self or drive crazy around campus or rev you engine and you should be good. I do believe it takes a special person to go up to someones car a key it or do damage to it just because your jealous

nope...no problem. we have more c63 than modded civics in our campus. the guy with the lambo does get a lot of **** though...people will always be jealous.

Just drive your car normally, don't do stupid stuff, and mind where you are parking. Other than that, you SHOULD drive your car to school. Just keep chill and respectful.

You will always cross some individual that has some serious issues with the fact that he doesn't have "X" and is jealous because he can't afford something. Drive your car in freedom, not embarrassment.

PS. I would have LOVED to have a machine such as a C63 AMG in college. Just as USC said about his campus, I went to UT Austin and say many exotic or at least expensive cars daily. It just inspired me to work hard. I drove a 1992 Volvo 240D Wagon.

Now remember that your car is like hitler to tree hugging college hippies. You don't have to do anything, but the statement that you don't give a **** about Mother Earth, green bs, global warming, etc, oozes from this car. Was this mean person got into his Prius as he did that by any chance!

As long as you dont do anything to attract attention you SHOULD be ok. In this age of time, you cant really tell what someone would do.

I drove a nice (to me) car in college my freshman year and had people come up to me to start a friendly conversation. But again it depends on if you go to a huge school in a big city or a school in a college town.

I cant even imagine what kind of attention I would get with a amg.

Well it depends. Where do you go to school David?

I took mine when I was in high school and my high school was in a ghetto region where most kids drove old japanese beater cars. Never had a problem with anyone vandalizing the car or hitting it but I was respectful in the parking lot.

I also drove around UCLA with it last year and it wasn't even a problem. There are so many other nicer cars in that area it blends in for the most part. Car never got damaged while I was there but having an assigned underground parking garage also helped.

Just be very cautious with the car on where you park and try not to draw unwanted attention to yourself. To most people that don't have a clue about cars, its just another Mercedes.

Basically, go with what everyone else says here. Having graduated a mere four years ago, and being an enthusiast I would always respect the nicer cars there (I had a toyota highlander). Other kids though...there is jealousy. Just don't rev your engine, dont blast music, and be a nice guy. If you can park farther away, I personally prefer one sided parking spots (ie spots at the very end or up against a wall) so that I can get nice and close to the wall and leave plenty of space to not get my door dinged.

Basically, don't be an a-hole and you should be fine. If someone wants to damage your car because they are a piece of sh*t there is nothing you can do about it, but don't give someone who is on the fence about doing something a reason to choose your car.

That is a myth, while some jews don't drive German, many do, I would suspect Mercedes, VW and Audi are top Jewish driver cars..

<-- Is Jewish, drivers a C63, eats bacon, in fact I get my bacon with a side of bacon.. and I eat Bacon Cheeseburgers on the high holidays just to violate all the meal related rules at once (I'm lazy and don't want to do 3 different things to violate the rules :P )
