2014 C 6.3 507 on order, 2008 BMW 335XI
New member, quick question
Hello,
New member. Sold my S4 and have a 507 on order. Has anyone else been told by their dealer that there is a 3 week delay on all AMGs? Told me it was due to an engine upgrade? Not sure just figured I'd see if anyone had any info on that. Anyway happy to be here and overly anxious to get my car. Look forward to contributing to the board.

C63 AMG 507 Edition
What color did you order? Sedan, coupe, wagon? What wheel colour?
I heard some noise about unexpected high demand for 507s causing a shortage in 156 engines, could be that is what your dealer was referring to.

Dealer told me it was a revision to some component of the motor...who knows probably is a shortage. I've never ordered a car before so the waiting is new "sucks" to me

I've read a post the other day talking about delays for the 507 due to shortage of engines. AMG didn't expect to have such a success for this version.
Now is your SA telling the truth or is he just trying to cover up the delay by giving this excuse

I feel pretty confident she will share any info that MB gives her. It's not a normal dealer, I'm going through Diplomat/Military Overseas sales. They are really good with customer service have set pricing..etc. She took me to the MB HQ here in Stuttgart, got one of the Corporate display 507s so I could test drive the car. Then took me to the factory so I could see all the colors on the cars when I was deciding on options. She has been amazing to work with so I do trust her.

I had a 25quattro B7 that was nicely and properly modded (piggies, Supersprint exhaust, MTM tune, VAG'd, Stasis & 034 Motorsport suspension, Brembo BBKs & dbe rotors, BBS & HRE wheels, etc.) and I also thought it was a good car until I got a loaded C63 (with the AMG suspension, P31, LSD and PP). You'll like the C63 much better.
