ipod integration for iphone 5
has anyone tried using one of these:

Haven't tried it right now I have the 30pin to lightening adapter and it works but barely charges the phone. And I mean like 10% like every hour lol

It doesn't work. That's specifically for USB media. You need the iPhone interface cable.

well my c63 came with a couple of cables, 1 for the iphone 4 directly, 1 for aux, and 1 for usb which I plug in my iphone 5 wire into. The media interface doesnt work with the usb plug.. it only works with the iphone 4 cable. All it does for my iphone 5 is charge it. Other than that I use bluetooth for music

ur cable has 3 outputs? 1aux/1usb/1iphone? i've only seen 2 at most! where did u get it? also, when you charge ur iphone5, does it take really long?

You can buy them from the dealer, they have all different types of connections and ones with multiple connections.

Not a perfect solution, but in my 2010s, I have the MB media interface cable which I use for my iPhone 4S, When my wife drives, she plugs in her official Apple adaptor and her iPhone 5, and all functionality is maintained.

MB is supposed to make a cable for direct connect to iPhone 5. Not sure if available, but if it's out there, I would appreciate a part number.

I haven't seen the iPhone 5 MB cable in the wild yet, and since my GF still has an iPhone 4S, the apple adapter works perfect for the iPhone 5, and I can easily switch back to the old plug for the 4S.

When you guys say "apple adapter" do you mean the 30pin to lightening one? I've got a 5 and tried using the USB plug w/ my iphone 5 cable and it won't charge (draw too high it says)...

Seems like it. I gave up on trying to make it work. I use the Bluetooth for music and a regular 12v adapter to charge.
