Cracked Rocker/Side Molding - Help!

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I've been on here. Unfortunately, thanks to freeway construction I went over a metal piece of some sort at night which hit the Passenger Side Rocker Molding or side skirt of my car. It put a nasty crack towards the rear and ripped off the equivalent of what I know as the mud-flap. Therefore, does anyone here have any suggestions as to where I can find an OEM replacement at non-dealer prices? The tabs and everything else is intact. Otherwise, is there any other options I could consider in terms of after-market parts?

Your suggestions & help are appreciated.

Insurance. Pay deductible. Have it professionally blended. This happened to me on June as well. But my front fender was also damaged.

Merc....go to parts.com. They are a clearinghouse for OEM Mercedes parts. They are awesome and reasonably priced. People have bought the OEM 2012 lights here. When you place an order, they verify the part is correct and send a request to either dealerships or the main supply wherehouse, and who ever has the part it is sent to you directly. You can then take those parts to dealer or you can apply yourself. I had to do this with a plastic control arm cover that got scratched. Replaced it with OEM part in less than a week. If you search after entering the type of car, you can look at the diagrams and order what was damaged.

@Craiger: I don't think the 13s would fit an 08 but thanks for the offer.

@Bhamg: Hired an Attorney, awaiting Judge's decision. I will keep you informed.

@khmergod: Deductible is more than the part lol.

@ZephyrAMG: Thanks will give it a look see. I saw the part on mbpartsonline for $500.

@Maximus: Thanks for the suggestion. I don't feel like waiting an eternity just to put on a rocker panel. lol A friend of mine is still waiting after an accident which took place two years ago with a city vehicle. The city put him on a list of people they need to pay and still hasn't. You can PM me if you have any ideas though.

Really hate to thread-jack, but this seems almost in line...
For those of you who've bought from parts.com, was it worth it?
They're noticeably less than oediscountparts.com every time i look something up, and that kinda scares me. Usually this day & age everything online is more/less the same price & then i saw this:
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Parts

Would it be safer to recommend OEDP/other and pay the ~15% extra or are they ok?

Thanks!

if my memory is correct, i checked out parts.com a month ago for new pads. prices were good, but shipping was nuts ... about $50 for USA domestic UPS ground. i ended up going with geniunemercedesparts.com. same price, $10 shipping.

Interesting.
I wanted to try my hand at the facelifted grill and I've been looking at prices.
For what's described as a 2012 Grille assy COUPE, C63, w/o radar cruise
parts.com has $348.00
OEDP has $435.00
GEMP has $464.00

I haven't gotten far enough in the process for shipping costs yet, but that ~$100 difference is surprisingly tempting/scary...
Anyone have any other recommendations?

As I Mentioned they're all the same, all the online vendors they are just a clearinghouse for the same parts that come from the shipping center. Factory parts, OEM, are located, then that online vendor "buys" it from them and asks them to send it to you...the online vendor just plays middle man. They locate the part at any dealership that had it or from the Benz parts factory close to you...
