Won't be sleeping tonight.... pick up my C63 tomorrow at lunch
Hi all,
Been too long, but finally picking up a 2011 C63 black/black with 19K miles, still factory warranty + extended.
I'll take pics, but just can't wait to drive it away. I'm in California, so noodling on the idea of an intake, exhaust, ECU tune. In the short term, I'll enjoy the car stock, but curious if you guys suggest doing one thing over another (exhaust first, then chip?)
Thanks all, looking forward!

Drive the car for a bit and once you are "numb" to the power, get a tune and fall in love again! For a cheap exhaust "mod" food the rear seats down. Lol.

Congrats! Hope you enjoy the car!
Drive the car first. For most people, it will take a few weeks to fully get used to the power and start wanting more. You can easily pick up up a lot more horsepower by getting a tune for the car since C63's come from the factory detuned. I believe they program the throttle body to not open fully, something with timing, and also run rich.
As far as value for power, a tune will be the best. Intakes are expensive for this car but you could look into ROW airboxes or headers. Maybe also secondary cat delete and X-pipe. It's all personal preference. The stock exhaust is plenty loud and sound great as is plus it doesn't drone.

Congratulations!
Enjoy the car how it is and like people have said start modding once it feels slow. You'll be able to space out your mods more if you do them one at a time and get numb to each step before moving on to the next.
let me know if you have any questions when it becomes time to start modifying the car

Congratulations! The c63 exhaust sound is near perfect, I don't think you can find an aftermarket replacement that can beat it unless you get titanium. Many have been able to extract more growl with an x or h pipe.

Congrats, mine stock was one of the most fun cars I've ever had, not the fastest but extremely enjoyable to drive - add headers, row boxes, and tune and it IS the most fun car I've ever had
Eat, sleep, drive, repeat - congrats again and enjoy

I think this poor guy must've keeled over when he saw it. We haven't heard from him haha.
Either that or he is out behind the wheel, enjoying absolute bliss.

I had the same feeling this past Saturday 9/28 as I knew the car was arriving by truck early Sunday morning. I woke up having palpitations at 4:30 am and needless to say didn't go back to sleep.

Hey guys,
I'm good, actually didn't get the one I thought (2011) but found a 2010 with low miles, warranty, excellent condition - black on black. Picked it up yesterday near the San Francisco Airport. Murphy's law, I wanted to "open it up" a bit, but I got stuck behind an accident on the 85 freeway. By the time it "opened up," I was in the after work traffic.
It's sitting at my mechanics right now. I'm having him do a once-over on it. Since it's under warranty until Jan of next year, I want him to check it over and see if anything needs fixing.
The car is just superb, replacing a 2007 Audi S4 6MT. With my commute, I needed an automatic.
2 questions for you guys.
1. I would like to get the carbon fiber front splitter, and also the carbon fiber between the exhaust pipes. Can you guys recommend a good, quality place to get them from? A google search pulls up ebay, with CF from china. ..
2. The car I did get has different side markers above the front wheel well. The 2011 had yellow "markers," but the one I picked up has little, clear markers in the shape of a 7. Does that designate the "lighting package?"
I found it on autotrader, and would have sent the link to you but the dealer already took it down.
Will be waxing it today (taking a half-day off work) so I can get er all pretty and take some pics. I'll post up a few a bit later. Here's a pic of a car (not mine) with those side markers I'm referring to... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-BEN...-/290871640318

Loving the car. Going to upload pics in a few.... unfortunately, it did NOT come with books, so I'm trying to figure out the multimedia package.
There is some sort of pin-layout in the glove box, but I can't figure out what actually connects to it. I tried an iPod cable, but that didn't work. (Yes, I tried searching here). It's a 2010 totally loaded. Anyone know what I need to get my iPod working?
Also, there is a 3-4" long and maybe 1/4" tall opening, which seems like it's for a diskette of some sort. Call me crazy, but I don't have the books and don't know what this thing is. Sorry pic is sideways. It's just above the button for the rear screen for the back window.... Any help?

That slot lets you stick in a SD card with music, I have a 32gig card in there filled with music..
Look inside your middle arm rest console. It might not be obvious but on either sides is a button you press it will pop open Split in 2 .
Inside you should find your iPod cable and another USB slot where you can also add a USB drive with music on.
Hope you enjoy the car..
UPDATE: sorry noticed you had a 2010, you need an adaptor cable.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...cable-c63.html
you can get a 6 or 6.5 ft extension cable and move it to he center console if you want.
But do know that almost all of them don't work.
Look for the CableJive 6ft extenders they seem to work fine.

its an sd card or something like that. you need a special connector from benz it will have fit the car on one end and have an ipod connector and usb connector to choose from.
