Is this the correct brake fluid
Need to get new brake fluid for my car. Heard Motul 600 was pretty good. Just want to make sure this is correct before ordering it. Thanks!

MBWorld Fanatic!
Motul RBF600 is for racing applications and is hydrophilic... You have to do brake flushes more often (About once a year or more)
You're better off using Motul RBF5.1 which is an amazing product

I thought there was a Jalopnik article about how the US government banned the ATE blue brake fluids because of some BS regulation stating brake fluids had to be amber.

I picked up several from TireRack (best price) the day before they were pulled. It's great for verifying a full replacement is actually happening.

Sad.
ATE Blue brake fluid is no longer available for distribution.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Last night, we heard through the grapevine that Alfred Teves Enginieering (ATE, a division of Continental) would be discontinuing the sales and distribution of the popular “Super Blue” variant of its DOT 4 brake fluid. Apparently the Super Blue fluid has run afoul of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard after nearly 15 years on the market for being blue. For the correspondence Continental sent to their distributors, and more of the story, click through the break.
It seems that the federal government has taken 15 years to figure out that Super Blue fluid is, in fact, blue in color. Evidently there is a stipulation that all brake fluids distributed in the US must be either clear or amber in color. This begs the question, why is that a law?
