Quote: too late, car is shipping to Weistec this week for 3.0L blower. I need more power, it feels slow and boring compared to my two other AMG's.
Your crazy. Such a beautiful car in its stock form.

I am sure it will be sick though with the blower.

Quote: Mph and et both sucked, vid was just to show wheelspin, car has trapped at 118 in 1/8 and that was not even a clean pass. Watch the rear left tire when the light turns green throug the smoke lol. Got kicked out of every track on west coast and midwest with the car for no cage and right on the cusp of needed a chute so I invested in one of those as well. Probably switching over to a full drag slick. Looking forward to MIR next month. Can't wait to see you car run, yours is gonna be a runner too.
118 in the 1/8th is ridiculously fast! Are you still running a 2.9L? My car will trap nowhere near that. Hopefully more than that in the 1/4 though haha. If you're up for it I will try taking yours down the track At the end of the day if I can get a 9 second slip out of my lil hoopty I will be satisfied

No comment on what size blower I am running

You will go 9's, I am sure of it. I am shooting for something a little quicker. I have one test and tune before MIR, have to figure out tire situation and a final shakedown, if everything is good I am headed east to MIR to set a record that hopefulky will never be touched then move on to the 5.5tt platform. I told Weistec to pull out all the stops and sky is the limit with a very large budget and they have delivered. I just can not believe more videos of testing this summer have not surfaced, there are a couple out there but not posted by us. Car is an absolute monster.

Sneaky! It's definitely not a 2.9L with those traps unless you have like a 500+ shot of nitrous on it

Cool, good luck

No nitrous..no need for nitrous. Car is a monster and even my claimed HP in my sig is understated. Until I make a clean, solid pass I am not posting any times or slips dyno charts of details. Weistec can post the details on the motor, but I think they want a clean pass before any chest pounding as well. Keeping my fingers crossed that MIR is the place that all the peices will finally come together. Last time out everything was awesome, put down an incredible 60ft but broke traction at 330ft. Then next pass broke a line on the trans cooler and ended our day. Hoping for a nice cold day at MIR like my last visit out here a few years ago.

Spoke with Earl his morning, he is planning on attending the event. He is working out the logistics to get his CLK from Weistec out to MIR. Difficult to find carriers the first or second week of November becuase nearly every carrier is booked getting cars out of SEMA.

well considering weistec uses whipple as the base blower+ all there engineering/bracketry/mounting/intake/tune etc...

you've got the 2.3L stage 1/2, 3.0L stage 3, and 5.0L JRCART spec. In order to run it you need aluminum rods, dual magnetos, mechanical fuel pumps with lines the size of water hoses and some nitro-meth.

I feel your pain, SLS just doesnt feel impressive compared to even a stage 2 weistec c63, probably a stage 1 but i have no factual proof of the later.

Spoke to Steve last week and he told me the car will be ready for MIR.

SEMA is making transporters difficult to get timing wise so might take u up on offer.

Same here! Red Start/Stop button, right? I was the white C Coupe in the beginner group, followed by JumpinJim in his Silver SL63. I think you and I chatted for 10 minutes and I never even asked if you were an active member here. LOL

There was plenty of passin going on that day, though I doubt we'll ever see the Ferrari guys publish theirs, because it would be unheard of for two Ferrari's to get passed at the same time by a lowly C63. Guess I'll have to take care of that
Not Red! Carbon fiber! lol It saves 1/4th of 1/5th of 1/6th of an ounce. Ha-ha. It was fun out there. If you (or I) hear of an event at ECR we should go. I like how they INSIST novices have an in car instructor. Sure MSR allowed wild wild west passing on a person's first time out but in car instructor and controlled passing is cool too. ECR has higher speeds and some tricky parts so it all pays off. Freeballin' at ECR on day 1 is not a good idea.

I would also like to join you in your proud display of passing two Ferrari's (nice vid) when on the back straight away I held the line better than the Audi and passed low then with better exit speed I floored it and passed a Ferrari. $250k - $75k = we win all around.

I meant to meet JumpinJim, as I read his posts about going out to the local drag strips, but spaced that out. We ALL should do the next ECR event.

Man I can't wait to see this monster run! I'm sure if all goes well it will lay down a sick et with those mph

Nice! Maybe the 3 fastest CLK's on the same track on the same day I actually think there will be several cars in the 9s that day. History in the making!

Im trying to!
Full bolt on C63 AMG. Headers, filters, Agency power catback and MHP tune. Nitto 555r on the rear. 7.8 in the 1/8. Not to bad but i expected a bit lower to be honest. What times should i be running ? I was also using launch control.

C63 7.8 is the video link. Someone at the track phone recorded it.
