I'm soooo upset.......
Guys,
I've been wanting a C63 since my previous life and finally I am ready to get one. I was so excited to test drive a 2012 C63 AMG yesterday and when I first sat in the driver seat I felt something wrong. The seat bolsters are pushing up my armpit and making it really uncomfortable. I tried to brush it off thinking this is a sports car and the seats are meant to hug your body tightly but after trying to adjust EVERY button there is... I was unable to find any settings that made me feel comfortable in the seat. I am a bit overweight 5'10 and those adjustment buttons on the side barely moves anything. This is soooooooooooooooooo disappointing........ I really want the car and could have bought it yesterday if not the seats....
Any ideas? suggestions?

I too was disappointed in the seats lack of adjustment when it came out. It was very tough to get comfortable in (esp coming from a C32 which was like a couch). It made my decision to get into a E55 more clearer. That and i couldn't believe i had the seat all the way back and i can still drive the car.

Did you check the right side of the seat. That's where the bolster settings were on the AMG I drove. Spent the whole test drive thinking the seats just sucked but then found the adjustment. Not overweight I'm in shape but 5'10 200lbs. I fit. I'm still waiting on my car so I can't go check but I'm sure someone can chime in on this.

I also dislike the seats, but not because of the bolsters, which are great, but because they don't go down low enough. On my other MB's the seats can go almost to the floor. Why can't the AMG seats do that?

I've already considered dropping weight but its not that simple. I believe even if I lose 20 - 30 pounds the seats are just not made for my body structure.
I'm doomed........

Hmm, I'm 5'11" and not exactly slim but I've found the seats to fit me very well. Just make sure you open up the bolsters (adjustments on the side of the seat back) all the way on all 3 settings.

not saying anything offensive.
BUt when I bought my first motorcycle, a 600RR and wore the riding leather - kevlar jacket I found a few things disturbing
I could barely zip it all the way up
I felt tight as hell around my belly
I couldn't lean at all on the bike
The helmet had squished my cheeks and they were pulping out of the opening.
I was close to 198 and I dropped to 175 in 2 months and shaved off another 5 lbs in next 2 months. It was hard. frustrating. But it was worth it.
Now I fit, like a glove, Feels like the bike is made for my body.

Your not talking about the lumbar support on the door (left) side of the seat, are you?

No. the adjustments are at the center near the car's center console. So to the left of the passenger seat and to the right of the driver seat. The look like 3 horizontal rectangle buttons stacked.

I know exactly where those buttons are but unfortunately they barely do anything I have to hold them for like 10 seconds before I feel a thing. The settings are at the widest...
Do anyone know if these seats take some time to break into? would it be much even if it does?
I think losing weight is fine to do and I'm willing to do it so I'm going to go again today to feel it out again and see if its something I can live with or not.

Your picture doesn't show the side of the seat back... also that isn't a C63 interior. If you're sitting in the drivers seat it is on the right hand bolster (outside obviously), height wise right around where the center console is. Three smallish rectangle buttons that adjust the various lumbar settings.
It is possible this is an option but I doubt it?

You are looking in the wrong place.
It is actually in the center on the right side of the upper part of the seat. there are 3 buttons (look at the seat belt receiver, then look up the side of the seat)

Im 6'4 250 lbs and I find the seats to be very comfortable. For some reason I find the driver's side is "wider" than the passenger seat, but thankfully I've only sat there a handful of times.
Try the adjustments, if not, if you love the car you can always switch the seats out.

I have a pair of CLK Black Series seats that are a little roomier than the C63 seats for sale if you are interested. They are brand new, I removed them when the car was 3 months old and replaced them with OEM Sparco CLK DTM CF seats. NOt sure if they are plug and play but they are a bit roomier.

Seats with these aggressive side bolsters take some getting used to for sure. I felt tight on my first drive, but got used to them. They do wonders also for lower back pain because it really props you up. Sit in the seats for a good 10 minutes and see how you feel.
