Question about Driving Academy Certificate for NEW AMG

Most of you guys know I picked up my 507 in Sept.. Well ,I've been bugging my salesman on getting the free admission pass to an AMG driving academy that is supposed to come with the new purchase of any AMG vehicle. He has been very hard to get to, usually the case after he has made the sale. Anyway, looking for some help here.

How do I get my certificate? I am anxious to plan a trip and attend the class. After paying a very significant amount for the 507, I would expect a little more of a courteous and timely answer from my salesman. Anyone know of another way to get that certificate, going around my salesman? It has been really frustrating and I want to take care of this a lot sooner than later.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

-jordan

I got mine in the mail about two months after I signed my lease.

I've got a photo of it if you'd like me to email it to you?

I don't think you need the certificate. Just call the academy and give them your VIN and sale contract.

Yes call the academy folks, they are very helpful. I think the certificate if for the one day course. See if you can pay some extra and take the two course it much more fun.

No certificate needed. Just register on their website, or call them up. They'll use your VIN to verify eligibility. http://www.amgacademy.com/program/of...reward-program

I was told that I would be receiving mine in the mail. I have yet to receive it and the salesman keeps saying, "Don't worry we'll take care of you." Somehow, I don't believe that. I need to take matters into my own hands. Thanks for the info and I'll try calling the academy. I was just under the impression that my dealer was going to take care of me. Funny , huh?

I was looking at the website last night and it tells you how to redeem the certificate, number to call and what info to have available. I believe it said you have 1-yr from picking it up to attend. The website stated the certificate can be used for the "Basic" course or as credit towards the higher level courses. Thankfully you don't have to rely on the dealer, as it would probably never get done now that you've paid.

Pretty sweet gig, too bad I won't be able to use mine.

I know a guy who bought the 507 but wont be using the certificate. I got mine in the mail a few weeks ago. My wife wants to go and participate as well. Does anyone know if the certificate can be transfered to a different name? My dealer says probably not. I am looking at Nov dates at Laguna Seca.

Very frustrating. They will not register me until after the first of the year in 2014. I was told that since the remaining classes are in Laguna Seca, where I do not plan to attend, I was told I would have to wait until they announce the 2014 schedule before they will take my personal information and actually get me registered to receive my certificate. I am a little frustrated because I know that some of you have already received your automatically or received them without the intention of going to any of the remaining classes this year.

I tried to register on-line, but cannot figure out how.

I had to register pretty far in advance for my class this week. Classes fill up pretty fast.
