Help Finding Fog Bulb

So the previous owner had yellow bulbs in the fogs. Don't know the details of them...

My passenger housing (then later bulb) broke and I have the housing on order. I was able to get in there and take out the previous housing to get to the bulb. All I can see is H7 12V 100W... I want to match the driver's side bulb which is yellow with a yellow tip. Two different shades of yellow will drive me mad.

It looks like what I found here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA08B08G5906

Is yellow = yellow and I should just get these?

Is 100w too much and did this contribute to the cracked lenses in the first place?

Thanks to whoever posted how to get at this mess from the back of the wheel well... a total knuckle scraping pain, but better than a $400 stealership repair.

Way too much. I used a high-quality 75W bulb that I've employed in headlight housings before with great results but in the C63 foglight the blue coating at the tip got so hot it peeled off. Not good...

So if I get a new pair... can I get to the driver's side fog bulb also from the wheel well? I hard that side was worse, but maybe that is just for the housing...

I used nokya yellow fog light bulbs. 75W. Great yellow color. Or if you wanted to match the low beams, Phillips diamond vision are great too. I have those in my high beams.

I remember one side being much harder than the other - whichever side it was, it probably took 4-5 times longer to get the bulb into the housing.

whats wrong with the stock bulbs? usually the housing glass cracks from rocks not heat.

I'm using philips diamond vision 5000k to match my LED eyebrows. They are great.
As for replacing the bulbs lifting up your front (jack stands) helps a lot to access the housing from below.

they can also crack from heat, if you hit a puddle or wash it when they are hot

What were the stock bulbs? 55W? White? still halogen?

OEM fogs are Philips H7 12V 55W White Halogens. They are ~ 3200K. They are much more yellow looking than the Bi-Xenons.

So below the bumper is better than the wheel well for the passenger fog light access? Looks like my hands will be getting cut up for this one.

I liked the wheel well because at certain angles thru the vent or well you can at least see the screw head to get the screw head in. I also suggest getting a $10 torx wrench set (the individual ones). There is no room in there for a screw driver... Not more than an inch for the upper left screw.

Budget 2 hours... 15 minutes of work and lots of frustration...
