Sounds like mine. 1st time I heard it I freaked out also. checked all the fluid levels, had the car on the lift and did not find anything.

Thread I started a while back. Turn it on, idle, drive around, sound gone.
Seems to be that stuck lifter everyone talks about, happened to me once again since, drove around, and its gone.

Nothing wrong , it's just a lifter that needs to be pumped up. Just letting it idle may do nothing, drive it around for a little and it will go away.

Have you guys never owned a real car lol. My old Chevelles and Road runners would scare most on start up. **** I think my C63 sounds bad at times then I stand next to my buddies E60 M5 on start up...Jesus sounds like a 5.9 cummins!
Good oil and get oil temps up before driving

Thxs guys thats what i was doing, went for a ride and that noise disappears but again its very annoying when you start a car and have that great sound from exhaust and then click-click-click and everybody is looking at a car what the hell is going on there.
And yeap dealer told me its probably one of the lifters but without reproducing a noise they dont know which one and they cant do anything

Had the same problem on mine as well. Service thought I was making it up each time because they couldn't reproduce the sound until I recorded it to show them. They checked the car out and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.
