If you are unwise enough to reach these speeds, at least be wise enough to:
1. Have a lead car or do a lap to ensure no LEOs
2. Do not do it passing other traffic
3. Stay on a familiar road that is very flat. A slight dip at these speeds can easily cause loss of control.
Remember the thread last year with the C63 in Texas that lost it over 100 on a farm road with a 45mph limit? He and his wife perished... Not worth the thrill IMO. Those limits are there for road conditions, turns, driveway, deer, etc...

Had my LaCrosse up to 135 mph on the Autobahns. 507 won't be getting close until next Spring. Need to get through the running in period and won't be trying it with the winter wheels/tires. So 86 mph for now...

I had mine going 15x with my tune, was still pulling hard here in Wyoming at over 6000ft elevation. Started wondering if my nitto drag radials were rated for such speeds so I backed out of it on a good, wide, seldomly used highway. I really enjoy acceleration a lot more than high speeds, but this car does the "high speed game" leagues above anything I've ever driven. I've owned an 04 Cobra that would out accelerate this C63 with ease, but it was not nearly as comfortable at 110, as the C63 was at 150, that is when I came to realize part of the reasoning for the steep price tag on these outstanding cars. I wish the steering was a little slower for these elevated speeds though on the Mercedes.

I do not think invade been over 150 mph in my C63. But I cruised at 175 mph on autobahn when I took Euro delivery of my CLS63.

Fastest I've been is the limiter stock, and 185 or so tuned - haven't had the opportunity to open it up since installing headers. Wide open it shifts to 5th at 175 lol http://youtu.be/e0YA1gghQWo

C63 AMG Edition 507 Coupe
507 has AMG Driver's Package with max speed raised from 250kph to 280kph. If that artificial limitation were removed, there is no reason why 507 could not go above 300kph. Maybe some of our German brethren could share their experiences?
