2011 C63 AMG
OE Tuned 2011 C63 hit a little over 160mph with my friend and fellow forum member Khaloof in his 2010 Velos tuned C63. We were having some fun and got really lucky that morning. Had some good passes back and then punched it up to 160mph.

173 was the highest I got it before I had to start slowing down and that was with an OE tune only. Wanted to test if the limiter was really off as claimed haha

219mph, up 15mph since my last post on this thread, it took about two miles to reach that speed and I think it had more in it. Just to put it in perspective, I went 194 in a standing 1 mile event and running two miles I only picked up 15mph

To be honest, I knew I was dropping the hammer but I was flabbergasted how fast it got there. I first looked at the speedo and it was at 240 and a blink later.......260. Told my wife and she just said "damn. you'd never know it" and didn't seem scared in the least, which impressed me co she's not really a car person. Then she said "you know, our kids have both their parents in this car. Maybe you oughta do this with a friend instead".
Ive been that speed a few times, and in the right situation would do a lot more cos I know this car could do it with ease, but I'm not taking too many risks with my kids fathers life.
Gimme a nice stretch of Nevada desert tho, and I will wind that sucker all the way round to the right. German cars are happiest on the highway.

You guys live in a far more liberal society than I do. In Sydney, if they caught you doing anything like some of these numbers, you would go straight to jail, you would never see your car again and you would be resigned to a life of catching buses and trains.

No, I am talking about the C BS, CLK can probably do 240 mph. C puts down about 790 whp and CLK BS is over 1000whp. CLK has also weighs inabout 500 pounds less than C and CLK has less wind resistance than my aero pkg equiped C BS. CLK was running 189mph in th HALF mile, C did 194 in the mile, the two cars are very different.

You would go straight to jail here in the US as well in most cases. I try to keep most of my high speed runs limited to dragstrips and top speed airstrip events, but I won't lie, I have done some top speed stuff on open highways but either do it late at night or on open roads out in the middle of nowhere, I try to play it as safe as possible.
