"he's gonna stop, he's gonna stop, is he not going to stop?...oh **** that actually happened!"
That is what goes on in your head. It's happened to me too, it is like a surreal moment and by the time you react, well, it's too late.

Like I've said: definitely the OP had his eyes on his passenger not on the road...maybe he should post a couple of picks with her, so we can have a full picture of the incident
Seriously now: I, for one, if I see someone going into reverse in front of me and I drive a car that I care about it, I'll blow my horn from the first millisecond I notice the white lights to make sure people from 2 blocks away can hear me....I may look like a moron to the others who witness my reaction, but I have better chances to get home with my car in one piece, and that's what counts at the end of the day.

Anyone who is on this forum, and if you look at his car's pictures, we all drive a car that we care about.
I'll lump you in with the rest of hindsight 20/20 gang here.

If you say so...it's your opinion In fact nobody died so, WTF is not a big deal, right?
I see it as damage (minor or major is beyond the point) to the car...and reading op's post it looks like more than a simpe fender bender:

Yes, the bumper, grill, and hood are all in the same general area and all sustained a small amount of damage. But it was certainly nothing more than a small fender bender. Those things are simple enough to replace. Once that's done, myself nor anyone else will be able to tell the difference and it will be good as new, so why does it matter?
Many years ago I had a girlfriend, not a big fan of monogamy, and she used to say after an escapade: "what's the problem?...just a good shower and I'm as good as new!:
...and trust me, she didn't ever had her "bumper, grill and fender" damaged...but I knew and that was enough for me to feel that I have to let her go

^^ poor analogy, but still made me LOL!!
I think OP got the point, I think nobody cares about the car repairs.. We just care to see which horns u were pressing at that moment.

That was the intent of my analogy...at the end of the day a good laugh is the best stress medicine.
Ho doesn't want to show us

2) If so, what would your response be after she said don't worry, I washed away the other dude's load?
3) You are a much, much, calmer man than I am if true.
4) If not true, that was highly entertaining.
Not that this is threadjacking or anything like that lol.

100%...long time ago though...
Nothing, why bother to waste my time and energy, I just forgot her phone number instantly...it was plenty of fish in the ocean at that time
She wasn't my wife, fiancée, or at least steady girlfriend...I didn't care and adrenaline should be preserved for important situations.
That was the whole purpose of the story.

For me, if I were in your shoes, it matters because I know...and that matters the most. Not to mention the headache to deal with the insurance, body shop, time consuming, etc.

kidding of course...
She'll probably kill me for posting this, but this is the passenger. I just grabbed the last shot of herself she posted to her instagram, haha.
