Weistec goes 9.75 @ 152MPH resetting world records
We are proud to officially announce that we have reset our previous M156 AMG record in the quarter mile, recently running a 9.75 at 152 MPH (246km/h) at Atco with JRCART. Most impressively, we ran a 4.32 60-130 MPH which puts us AMG's between twin turbo Lamborghini's GT-R's and Ford GT's!
This weekends bests were the following:
9.75 1/4 mile
153 MPH
4.32 60-130
Car weighed in at 3,850 with driver and we were running a 16" drag radial. We will be out soon to improve our times!

Thanks guys and a HUGE thanks to everyone at Weistec. They have jumped through hoops for me for the past month getting my SLS built in time for SEMA and getting the CLK ready for the MIR/East Coast events. Having them fly out to the event for tech and mechanical suppport was greatly appreciated as well. My CLK should prove to the world that Weistec is now the premier AMG tuner on the planet.
I was obviously hoping for an overall MB world record but we missed that by 7/100ths of a second. I am still very optimistic becuase the car never made what we felt was anywhere near a clean pass. I will be shipping the CLK back out to Weistec in the next week, we have a couple things we want to try out and since I live in Chicago our racing season is done for the year so California works out perfectly, although the tracks in California suck but all we need to work on is our first 300 ft so any track will do. I am confident this is a low to flat 9 maybe even a high 8 second car if the planets are in alignment.

Weistec and JrCart: Congrats on the run and new record! That's awesome!!!
Surprised to see how narrow the front tyres are.. but man.. that CLK BS Weistec Build you have is utterly mind blowing! Well done.

That would be sick....talk about a sleeper, wow. I hear they might have a spare SLS BS engine sitting around.

A smidge over 1000whp and right at 1000 ft lb/tq in it's current state of tune. The scary part is we can actually get more power than that but with the traction issues we are facing throwing more power at it is probbaly not the answer, that being said it is a good problem to have I guess.
