Bolt on 12 C63 AMG vs 14 Jag F Type 5.0 Super Charged... surprised outcome
Had the opportunity to run a 2014 Jaguar F Type 5.0 Super charged. I honestly cant believe how fast those cars are factory. My bolton full exhaust w/headers/tune/filters was able to hang with him, thats it. He stayed par with me most of the races. Im actually almost in shock that he was that close. He even pulled on me one race very slowly. I figured i should be pulling on him pretty steady. Little disappointed with the car not gonna lie but it was all good fun.
There was a bolton CLS AMG with downpipes and tune that obviously pulled away with no sweat.
In person, that jag sounds super badass. Sounds way better than the 6.3 stock. Back fires and everything. Has the exhaust valves built in to open and close like the agency power exhaust for our cars. Pretty neat none the less.

I've learned time and time again that anything with force induction should not be taken lightly; and anything with more cylinders than you. Good run nevertheless! Just save up for that SC!

Yea i mean its just a full bolt on C63 should be pulling what like 450-475whp? maybe a tad more. The Jags are putting down 440-450whp factory and there obviously a few hundred pounds lighter.

I was impressed as well how well that the Jag kept up. They are under rated from the factory after that race.
Now you forgot to mention you had 3 people in the car versus 2 in the jag.
I did start after you guys on the race but looks like the twin turbos did their job
the exhaust sounds amazing as you said and from the rear view mirror, the jag is one sexy cat.
The new coupe will be a serious contender on the road but there's not much more you can do on it.

The car is the new small convertible 2 seater coupe F type with the supercharged V8 with 495 hp.
The upcoming coupe with 550 hp and a little diet of a couple hundred pounds is very appealing.

It seems this race was pre-planned, correct? If so, who on earth races with 2 other people (3 total) in a car, then creates a thread and says they are "dissapoined in their car now" ?? Dude, there will always be someone faster then you are.
Despite what you think, the C63 is not some sort of king pin on the street...

I am aware of those 2 potential mods. A tuner in England has them but this is the only one I am aware of. They also make an exhaust. The tune is basically the OEM tune for the XKR-S that is coming for the new coupe. What I was trying to say is that the aftermarket arena for the Jag versus AMG or M cars is nearly non existent. Maybe that will change now with the F type.
That's not exactly true. I read about another race with this car on the V forums in which the supercharged Jag had a lower pulley swap with a tune and ran neck to neck with a similiar modded 550rwhp CTS-V. These cars are no joke and have the best V8 sound from factory on the market!

This was a friendly race and we knew the extra weight of a third person would play a role. The Jag had 2 people. 150 pounds extra weight for a 50-120 race will not make a huge difference.
Chill . The OP is not drinking the MB cool aid, just simply pointing out that the Jag is under rated and no joke.
