I grew up with M5 as my dream car. Never imagined not being in it one day... when I was finally ready to pull the trigger, I drove in one along with an E92 M3 and LOVED both (leaned more toward M3 at that point).
So I chewed on the decision for weeks, did tons of research, made pros/cons lists, etc... And then took a trip to the Benz dealer and drove C63. Game over! I can't really articulate why, I just connected with it. Tossed aside all the research and got the merc.
It's like that bar joke where the guy dates 3 women as potential wives. He does all the analysis about their careers, parenting, social, etc... And in the end says "f*ck it" picks the one with the biggest t*ts!! It was a bit like that.

I think i'll stick with my C63 6.2. All these cars coming out might look good but sound sh*t!
CLA45, M4, M3, new C63 with 5.5 ergh!... the list goes on.
I like the look of the M3 sedan though.

I personally have no problem with the new 5.5tt exhaust note in the newer AMGs
But the new m3/m4 sound like crap in the videos so far...hell I think the 3/4 series sound better in videos for some reason, not as raspy and "flat". i'm sure in person it's much different.

I always lease. Here are a few reasons why: 1) You get the exact same amount of enjoyment out of the car (you probably can't go quite as crazy on the modifications but I've been able to modify all of my leased cars with ease); 2) You don't have to worry about selling it at the end (which means you don't have to worry about the thousands of dollars worth of depreciation that occur as soon as you drive it off the lot); 3) If you choose 24, 36, or 48 month terms, you get a brand new car every 2, 3, or 4 years (which means you'll likely always have some warranty protection).
I can certainly see a few of the merits of buying, especially if it is going to be a low-mileage/weekend car, a project car, or a car you plan on keeping for a long, long time. That said, with a depreciating asset, I think leasing is always one of the smarter options.

Why does every bash leases? I could pay in full or get a loan but I look at people who pay cash in full as idiots putting $70k in to a deprecating asset rather than investing that money. Why would I buy, when I can get a new car every few years, write it off on taxes, etc the list goes on of benefits.
