Hi Joe, could you please send me the data sheet for this c63 I'm looking at and whether it's effected by the head bolt issue. From what I understand it was first registered July 2010 in Japan, now for sale in NZ.

Hi Joe, sorry to be a PIA. It's hard to judge the issue here in NZ based solely on the first registered date because it's different to the States in that our 2010 registration is for the calendar year i.e goes to Dec 2010 so some 2010 vehicles have an engine no above the cut off (similar to the UK). The other tricky thing is we get a lot of Japanese imports & I don't know how their resistration dates work hence the safest way to be sure is to rely on your kindness.

Don't have the car anymore, but this is a great thread. You're an asset to the community. The info you've provided was extremely useful for me. When I reached out to MB USA, they denied that there was a head bolt revision or any TSB, so this thread was a potential lifesaver because they told me the only way to know was to have my dealer inspect the headbolts. Just thought I'd post a thanks since it was bumped and I used it in the past.
