Sure take the dealer at their word. Car is fine, practically brand new. Guaranteed never to break.

hello guys, i have 2009 c63. had it for 3 years and someone just told me about that issue. I assume my engine is affected by this reading at the posts but here is my vin if someone can confirm that: WDDGF77X49300763.
I had no major problems whatsoever (knock on wood)..... it has 58,800 miles on it.

Just purchased a used engine out of a 2011 C63 with serial 15698560061366.
From the service bulletin it appears to be past the 60658 revision. However, the head bolts are still the inner torx head design.
Is this a concern?

If you look at the first "edited" post in this thread. It appears to have happened before.
I received a PM from a member today who indicates he has a "late 2010 C63". The Datacard for the VIN he provided shows a delivery date of 11/24/2010. The Datacard indicates the engine number is over 4,000 engines beyond serial number 156983 60 060658 where the new head bolts were employed.
Since we've believed that all 2010 and older, and some 2011s were in the affected range, I'm confused about how this one could be outside the range. I did a search to find out which digit in the VIN corresponds to the model year, but had no luck getting a clear answer.
Anyone have any thoughts on all of this?
