Have faith, I have a 2009, read the thread title, then looked at the VIN number stuff and didn't have to ask.

Is a website like LastVIN accurate compared to the data cards provided by legend OP?
WDDGF7HB5BF534791 if anyone is curious lol

Not sure what you're looking for. The Datacards have the same main data. The one I provide usually has additional data that may or may not be something of interest.Originally Posted by Asian

Your engine is about 300 past the switchover, so you have new headbolts. Datacard attached.

Good day I have a 2010 ML 63 AMG with Vin number 4JGBB7HB0AA557631
It is my understanding that these engines have had mould problems, how can I determine whether the headbolts are a problem on this particular vehicle or is there a way I can check to see if they’ve had a factory recall or had the head bolts have redone, I tried the dealer with no luck
could somebody a lot smarter than me please give me some insight to this, thank you in advance for your consideration.

There is a wealth of info on the forum about this issue. The title of the thread you posted in gives your answer as to which bolts you have. There is no factory recall for the issue, and there is no way to know without visual inspection or paperwork indicating they've been changed.Originally Posted by Jerpas

Well if true, that's a first. The switchover was supposed to be at serial number 60658. Yours is ~1,000 past that number.Originally Posted by vincent743

If not the original owner he could have had an engine replacement at some point and they dropped in an older one. I would verify the actual engine number against the one listed with the vin.Originally Posted by BLKROKT

Sorry you're in the affected group. Engine number is 156985 60 059242. Last 5 digits need to be above 60658.

Your likely confusion stems from the fact that this is a Korean car. South Korea, like other countries don't match the US for model year changeovers. Attached you can see the TSB that shows the switch over VIN data.Originally Posted by Mikeqwerty087
