what is the solution for the affected vehicles? wait for the car to breakdown and have a warranty ready for the issue or has Mercedes addressed this problem ?

Again, all 2010 and older and some early 2011s are affected. Later 2011s and beyond are not affected. Datacards attached.
Regards,
Joe

As many of you know, I have been providing Datacard info to many members interested in their build sheet, or to verify engine serial number.
I received a PM from a member today who indicates he has a "late 2010 C63". The Datacard for the VIN he provided shows a delivery date of 11/24/2010. The Datacard indicates the engine number is over 4,000 engines beyond where the new head bolts were employe
Since we've believed that all 2010 and older, and some 2011s were in the affected range, I'm confused about how this one could be outside the range. I did a search to find out which digit in the VIN corresponds to the model year, but had no luck getting a clear answer.
Anyone have any thoughts on all of this
Thanks;
Joe
