Here is the specs of the 265/35/18 vs 265/30/19.
The tread width of the 265/30/19 is 10in vs 10.1in for the 265/35/19.
Tread width difference of 1/10th of an inch is 2.54mm which could be the difference between rubbing or not.
Remember the profile of the tyre makes a difference.
This is not saying that the 265/30/19 will work 100%, just saying that just because the 265/35/18 doesn't, doesn't mean the 265/30/19 won't.

Without pretending to be an expert on this topic, I would say this means that the 19s would have a more rounded sidewall since the tread width is slightly less but the same section width.

I'm not sure why there is all this talk about section width. I'm putting the 275-shod wheels back on in two weeks. When I hit the next unavoidable dip at speed and cut some strips off the tire I'll pull over and photograph it. You'll see the strips are coming off the tread, not the side of the tire. The PSS's are crazy wide in the tread - IMO that is the problem.

The T1R's are not a bad tire. Not as good as the PSS's. I have the PSS's on the C63 now, I had the T1R's on my previous car.
The downfall to the T1R's in my opinion is the road noise after some wear. They get horribly loud. Just my experience with them.
Either way, the T1R's are a decent tire, not that far off in terms of price compared to the PSS's. I would probably spring for the 255 wide and run a mild stretch. If memory serves me correct the contact area on the stretched 255's will come close to the 265's.

From all the math I've done I think so as well. I ended up going with RE-11 because the front 245/35-19 AD08R have too low of a load rating. The 275/30-19 RE-11 has the same 10.7" section width.
You have an up angle "down the side" pic of the rear with that setup showing the clearance?
