2011 C63 Sedan White on Black
In the Market for a non-aero BS
Hi All,
I'm currently in the market for a used C63 BS without aero package. Planning on taking delivery in late August.
A little background about myself. I've been driving a 2009 C63 since 2010 for three and half years (have been on the forum since then) and absolutely loved everything about the car. Sold the car in August last year due to work arrangements that required me to move overseas. Fellow member C63Analyst is currently taking proud ownership of my old car
Recently I've made plans to move back to the States in late August and was thinking of my next purchase already.
I'm a pure fanatic of naturally aspirated V8 and RWD so the M157 models and W205 C63 I'm not really interest in.
I know it's probably too early to start searching but I just wanted to hear some thoughts from you guys on the pricing of a non-aero used BS in half a year's time (especially with the introduction of the W205) and also if any of you guys know of any opportunities please also let me know
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Currently non aero package BS go for less than 95k$ in the US. You could find one in the 90ish probably. But don't expect a big depreciation with the new W205. A simple example is the clk BS still selling for 60k$ish after 5-6 years.
These car will hold their value because they are collector's V8 N/A and with the new era of biturbo engines these will be most likely rare beast.
i would love to snap one as well but they are still over my budget for the moment

it may not line up with your timeframe, but jbizzy's white BS may be worth expediting your process if still for sale...it seems like a really nice car. if I hadn't bought grnlanterns car, I woulda most likely bought the white car.

Canadian prices have been holding well, with only 30 cars here. The cheapest one in Canada, the red one at $120k is a barebones base Canadian car (exterior CF and AMG Performance Media are standard here). I think dealers are realizing that they get asking price by holding on to the car for a few months. Prior to winter, the cars were moving at much lower $ but moving a lot faster.

If non-aeros are selling for $90K+ then they are holding value better than the CLK BS was at the same age. A typical 2.5 year old CLK BS was selling in the low to mid $80K. Currently the 2012 CBS models are 2 years old (assuming first delivery in late 2011).
It will be interesting to see how they fare this year.

I love my CBS, but I have been eyeing the Mclaren used market and might make the jump next year. Shoot me a message when you're getting close to purchase and I'll let you know where I'm at.

I'd recommend shooting a post over on the PL (if you haven't already). I know a couple owners were selling a short while back. I almost pulled the trigger on a couple different non-aeros back in the late summer/fall--but I decided to go with a beautiful (custom ordered) 991 instead I'm a sucker for new cars and I missed the boat on getting a brand new CBS--if I could go back in time, I would have bought a brand new 2013 CBS. Oh well, I've got the P-car bug now! (already thinking about a 991 GT3 in a couple years when I tire of my current girl , but who knows--there's always new and exciting things coming out every year!)
FYI, I was low $90ks on one of the CBSs I was considering (had about 5000mls) and the other was $105k, but had less than a 1000mls.
I'd guess you can find one in the low 90s to high 80s by next August. GL It's a great car!

Thank you! There's no denying it is truly a beautiful machine and such a different animal than my c63. The PDK is a gift from the gods and the car is scary fast at WOT and it sticks to the road like superglue. I love the car
The car attracts a lot of attention (I think partly because of the Sport Design Pkg and exhaust). Every time I drive the car or fill up at the gas station, I get smiles and thumbs up! Not sure how much I like being the center of attention, but it is what it is.
I couldn't be happier with it--can't wait until Spring so I can give it a proper workout
