A question for c63 c204 AMG owners in Australia ( Sydney )
Hey guys,
Moving into European cars from Japanese cars and i just wanted to know what you guys in Sydney Australia are paying for the regular oil and filter changes from the dealer and if you go to your own mechanic who do you go to?
the only place i know is CPC city performance centre in Artarmon.
i'm wanting a c63 AMG c204 2011-12 model
I had to post in the w204 thread as i cannot find one for c204 AMG.
if someone can direct me to the right section that would be great as i'm new here.
Cheers

IME, Melbourne dealer prices range from ~$700 for an 'A' to about $1100 for a 'B' service.
That covers the normal service items.

Don't go to Ramspeed, they definitely don't have a good name.
A and B services sound about right. Think Merc want a bit more for the B service.
I just paid $900 to MB in Chatswood for oil changes to the auto / diff. Seemed reasonable.

Ramspeed were good, I never had an issue with them but I have heard a couple of bad things about them lately, though a friend of mine still uses them for services and he hasn't had an issue.
City Performance is highly recommended or just your local dealer. Prices wont vary too much for a basic oil change.

If its just a matter of a simple Oil & Filter, inbetween services (every 5000kms), i will DIY.
Oil costs $125 for 10 Quarts (Mobil1 5w40 ESP), filter is $15 Genuine, Sump Plug & Washer $4.
Total $144 + 40 mins time. Easy to DIY.
When doing the oil change, i like to jack up from the DRIVERS side, as the sump plug is pointing towards the passengers side, this way it drains out as much as possible.
Also, dont do it when the oil/ car is cold. Try to do the oil change when the oil is still warm. Obviously not at 100deg operating temp, because there is a risk of burning. Just while its still warm, so the oil can easily drain.
Hope that helps.

I wanted to understand if your recommendation about City Performance was based on anything other than personal experience being a customer (and not some affiliation with Ezio or Alessio!)
I have also been to many Sydney workshops in my life and met Ezio and Alessio a couple of times on other projects.

I am not sure who Ezio is, I met Bruno, Sam and Alessio there. The great thing about them was after I picked up the car and paid my $ they would still email me for weeks making sure the car was still running smoothly and there weren't any issues. That isn't mentioning their constant updates while they have the car.
