Quick-Attach Front Plate?

Anyone have a way to quickly attach a front plate when parking (without drilling holes)...like a magnet or some other form of quick-connect? I have gotten a few tickets lately while parking but am not quite ready to install a front plate all the time. And unfortunately, just placing it on the dash does not prevent a ticket. Thanks.

Get a Gominigo plate holder. It attaches to the front tow hook.

Lots of options if you have a Mustang, and some for our cars if you are willing to give up ground clearance at the front valance (which I am not). Anyway, I just bent some paper clips and hooked the plate through the mesh of the lower grill. Based on how easy that was and that it worked well enough, I plan to fashion something similar in concept but better executed. Then I will just hook it on when I park in metered street spots.

I got tired of NYPD pulling me over and harrassing me because I was running without a front plate. That's my next best option. Thanks Alex!

Can anyone confirm the towhook mm measurments for a 2012 C63 coupe? I'd like to order one of the kits but the site has 100mm and 130mm options.

+1 would like to know also.

How about if you have park sensors? Will these block the sensor? Or can you fiddle with it to make it work?

Goni i had that. Its nice but it shows if you look at the front of the car. You cant push it too far under the bumper because then it wont flip out. Lost mine over a bump. When its hidden under you bumper, it sits very low to the ground. If you are gonna do it, have a professional place install it through the lower mesh.

Plate

I had the same issue. After a ticked while parked I decided to try and mount the plate in the mesh.

Using a series of screws, washers and bolts I managed to create a mount inside the mesh off to the side. Works great and doesn't show. Make sure the screws are about 4" long. Using a big washer and a bolt mount the screws facing out. Set the plate in to level the screws, remove and then tighten the base bolts down tight. After getting those set, mount the plate and the second set of bolts.

I have the RHO plate, really only use it when I get a ticket. Throw it on go get the ticket signed off and take it back off. Easy to install good quality, doesn't look bad with it on all the time but I like my front end clean, lol.

NYC tickets don't work that way. If you get a ticket, the burden of proof is on you to prove that you had it on. The benefit of the doubt is given to the cop that wrote your ticket. Believe me, I've tried and lost that argument. It's not a fix it ticket here.
