Any disadvantages to the P31 cars vs non-P31?

I mentioned the LSD, because that, and the 30 extra horsepower of the P31 was very important to me while I searched for a C63 for myself. Now I have my own, and know that I was being goofy, since I don't have traction issues with the open diff. And I also have the power to put away a p31 in a straight line for much less money. Just two things I was adamant about for no reason, now that I know better.

Sorry to bring up this thread again. Im looking at a 2010 C63 with development package and every other option. I am worried about the cost to replace the brakes and was wondering if I can just put on standard rotors from the non performance package? Id like to replace the rotors as soon as I buy the car then put the stock ones back on with I sell it.
Will there be any issues with this or would this work?

Not to be snotty to a newbie, but if you had bothered to read this thread that you resurrected from the dead, you might have discovered this in post 21:
Don't you guys realize you can throw 1 piece rotors on if you don't want to cough up for the 2 piece??
The discs are identical in sizing.

Don't just settle for two piece, get RB C63 BS brake package with rear rotor hats made to fit C63 spindle hub.
You get BS's BBK, install them just like stock rotors, but they are made for track duty and last 3-4 times longer than OE (one or two piece).

The whole package has everything you need:
The package costs only fraction of a dealer's brake job.

So when you need a new brake weather it's for replacement or upgrade, this is the best package you can ever find.
RB has been in brake business for 30 years and is the most trust brand in the performance industry for improving your braking efficiency (street driving or tracking), at an affordable price.

- Brand new MB calipers for rear 360mm (vs. 330mm) big rotor.
- Car set of ET500 performance street pads (low dust no squeak)
- Stainless steel brake line.
- Motul brake fluid.

Amen.
Stronger forged internals with ~7 lbs worth of weight reduction in reciprocating mass, on a rather large 6.2L engine - I'd also pay the $ difference for that alone.
P.S. To the "resurrecting OP" - yes, the rotors are interchangeable, but you could get the RBs (not the BBK they advertised above - the OEM sized ones that are also a direct bolt-on) for more or less the same price as the heavy steelies.

OEM one piece are $175. I would not say 4x the price is "more or less the same price."

In that case I stand corrected - and thank you for pointing that out. I was under the impression that the RBs were comparable to the one piece OEM steelies. If the RBs are the same price as the OEM "1.5" piece rotors, then there is very little incentive to switch.

Tune
while true an aftermarket tune can equal or exceed a p31 car, there can be some drivability and warranty compromises with the aftermarket tune. And it seems aftermarket tune results are not the same for ever car.
This led me to the factory hp upgrade version.
no flames please, i just want w204 newbs to get the full picture.
