This and that.
It is too much work and and I am too lazy to dip it. Plus I think if I dip that part then I will feel obligated to dip other parts like the window chrome trim etc to have some symmetry going on. So I am just going to leave it.

thanks folks. really like the new look. I find plastidip really easy to work with, as long as you put on multiple thin coats allowing to dry in between. nice uniform matte finish.

Plastidip is one of the best & easiest to work with.
Yes, multiple THIN layers is key

I don't have a c63 but plasti dipped a similar type grill. The trick is to remove the tape while its still kinda wet. If you let it dry completely, the paint will peel off with the tape. If you do multiple layers at a time it's best you remove the tape each time. Then repeat. But I cheat and do as many coats as I can then remove the tape before it completely dries. But I always risk over spraying. But here's my c300. Dipped outer grill and bottom bumper (this bottom one is just for testing to see how it looks).

That looks good. Not a fan of the vinyl on the bottom center though. makes your front look like the Predator.

Thanks. Just did for testing to see how I'll like it. I think I'll make it straight instead. BTW it's plasti dipped ☺

Yes. The mesh is gloss black from what I read instead of the matte OEM finish. Is the gloss black mesh painted or molded-in? If it is painted, it will just chip over time.

I actually like the gloss black look. Maybe I should get that and it will match with my gloss black vinyl on the roof too. How much did you pay to get it wrapped? I am gonna call my shop tomorrow.

I already have the grille installed, just contemplating getting it glossy black vinyl wrapped as I already have my roof wrapped.

i got mine recently and i'm going to wrap it tomorrow. the center star might be kind of tricky, but it shouldn't take longer than about 15 min and hopefully i have enough spare vinyl laying around.

EDIT: I totally misunderstood what you asked haha. Yes the gloss seems to be molded on mine and not painted.

It will probably match your roof but it wont match the bottom center bumper grill since those are usually matte or satin depending on how long you've had your car. Atleast from the c63 I've seen. I think its better to match everything in the front.
