stealership story

there are lots of stealership stories on here, but I had to share this one (and they are otherwise really cool guys, so I'm not going to name names). took my car in for basic service, and my left fog bulb is burned out. guess how much they are asking to swap it out? $91 and change. lol. nuts.

you got an awesome deal. my right fog lamp is out. charge to replace? $116 plus CA tax. if i not mistaken, the front bumper has to be removed, right?

g**damnit. lol. afaik there are access panels on the undertray to get to the fogs. I honestly never use them and I can't stand how they light up individually when I turn the steering wheel, so I'm probably not even gonna change the burned out bulb.

Yeah, I'd much rather have active illumination with bulbs that turn as you turn, but instead they decided to make your lights look gimpy like your car is blinking with one eye.

Fog light can be changed without taking front bar off.
Just access panel in front of wheel well.
I have done it myself. Very easy.

Just change it yourself. H7 bulb.

looks like you can make an easy 100US$! jk. yeah, I did some research and found that it can be done via the wheel well or the panels on the undertray, although I've personally never looked.

Last oil change they said 10L was used.

I asked them where they put all the oil because it didn't all go in my car...

The dealership isn't wrong in stating that 10L was used. They're not going to charge you for 9.5L of oil.

Then that definitely sucks! I know my tech empties out my oil cooler for me. Unfortunately for you, they are quoting the amount of oil based on engine specs, because the oils are coming in 50 gallon drums.

They don't use drums here. They pull the 1L bottles from inventory.

I'm sure some of those bottles when in the tech's trunk.
