C63 BS Owners Need Your Help

Hello to all the MB family, I own a C63 BS with no track package and a recently purchased the front canards or flicks as some may call them. My problem is that the Mercedes dealership has no measurements as to where they get installed and I've tried every resource possible to get the correct measurements. With this being my baby... and me being very particular in wanting it installed just like factory (I'm sure I'm not the only one) I ask the MBWorld if anyone can help me with providing accurate measurements for the install. I would very much appreciate your help. Thanks

Although I don't have a Black Series (though I wish I did ) I came up with the following guesstimate. Using the ~20" dia wheel I scaled the drawing and came up with the dimensions for the rearward edge. I cannot accurately get dimensions from the front of the canards due to foreshortening.

These should at least give you an idea till an owner chimes in. I wouldn't be surprised if there were slight variations between cars though.

hard to believe that MB does not have a template for bodyshop repairs

your best bet may be looking at good photos and dimensioning as above (btw the wheel diamter is 20" from lip to lip for a 19" wheel)

I would think having them even side to side is more important than exact positioning
after all any minor deviation will only be apparent when compared to a factory installed car

a good source of hi res pics

I installed mine or rather my body shop did, on the basis of hi res pics. Anyone with basic competence will put them in the right place. Also the contours of each piece determine their accurate location on the car as they won't fit flush in just any ole' spot. Good luck

Evening guys, I need to bump this old thread as my front canards are on their way, and I couldn't find any official measure to install them. My local MB dealer here is something in between "ofc we can do it" and "is this car really stock or you've put some body kit all over it". So, yeah, can't trust them.

If anyone has that info, would be most appreciated.

Possibly send a pm to ModeCarbon, I know they sell the canards and I'm sure they can help with the location.

I had the same problem when I purchased my canards from Mode. No one had a template or any measurements, so the shop eyeballed it and got it wrong My top canards face down at a steep slope. Fortunately, they still look good, but it drives me crazy knowing they're wrong.

It maybe need to remove the bumper and on the inner side will marked where need to install fasteners? At least the place where the parking sensor should be installed is usually marked.

Maybe behind these brackets have the mark inside where need to make holes for fasteners?

I believe that works for the C63bs that already has the Aerodynamics Package. Mine doesn't, so my bumper is flat. No marks on the outside. Would have to drill the holes, and that's what I'm affraid of.
