I will take some close up pics later today of the areas I think have bad gel coat issues.

Sorry bro. You're too picky with what you're looking for to go with a diff that has known issues anyway. You made a good decision with your purchase.
I'm either going Mode Carbon or VFR.

Having said that, VFR has been pretty accommodating, they are doing their best to earn my business, may head in this direction as it sounds I will be able to view the product I am purchasing before I buy it.

^^ understood that they won't negotiate on the last piece. Don't get me wrong, quality is perfect and Nick is great to deal with. Helped me with all my concerns even on weekends.
I just can't compare the quality with VFR. Mode Carbon is ALL carbon fiber. Not sure about other brands. Which is why I'm curious about VFR quality

Yeah I am weighing that out in my mind as well.
The one thing I like about the VFR is the size of the fins. The Mode Carbon appears to be somewhat smaller. Bigger than oem, but smaller than big fins.

Man I am really on the fence.
Can someone help me decide... lol
I am going to meet up with VFR tomorrow to take a look at the diff before making a purchase. If the product is of great quality, should I pull the trigger on it, or shall I just bite the bullet and snag the Mode Carbon?
Obviously I would be getting a better price on the VFR, but there are reasons for that.
MC - real cf
VFR - no shipping
To me it really comes down to the finish of the VFR and the fitment. IF VFR can guarantee fitment or money back, I am thinking it will be hard to turn away...
I also like the larger fins on the VFR, vs the MC smaller fins.
What are your thoughts?

I say go for the VFR if their quality and fitment checks out. I like Mode but they are overpriced imo and their fins aren't necessarily 'big'. VFR looks like a good product as well, at least in the pictures.
So if you have an opportunity to look at them in person and check out the fitment and quality you should go with it if everything checks out.

Good choice. You wont be disappointed. Quality is very good. Also, when you create the brackets, you can push out the bottom as much as possible to maximize the fins. It's bigger than you think it is.
