Lol, that is funny.

Look at what petro has done, stage 2 mods, hes flying.

Stage 2 Mods:
- American Racing Headers w/X-pipe
- 9.1 Lower Pulley
- Tune Time Custom Cam
- Moroso Dual Catch Cans
- Zl1 Lid
- Norcal Tank
- Tune by Tune Time Performance

That isnt much for mods to get where he is at.

Having switched from a C63 to a V I can tell you the V is much easier and cheaper to modify. Better bang for your buck.

Just look at my sig.

I don't think there are any Cs in the 9s...
Its not a C, but its the same engine and tranny. Everything can be applied to a C class if someone wanted to.

I am pretty sure that is faster then the fastest V??

Clearly it will be cheaper and easy to mod a car with a blower already on it and a single cam, compared to a 4 cam NA car.

I think there are only a few Vs in the 9s, and even fewer off the bottle.

Not sure, but both are small potatoes compared to the 3000+ HP Bentley. Ya'll are slackers. Get with the game.

Nice V. Is it manual or auto.

A friend of mine has a 2011 and it's really quick.

Man, your car is moving. I'd like to see the Caddy come back with a few more mods and see how much closer he will be.

i have a few comments to address here.
Yes the V will be cheaper to mod, it's based off a lsX motor which has been out since 1997. lots of time for r&d not to mention cheap parts that camaro owners can afford. It will always be a gm product though. I love the V on paper, even considered getting a V wagon - they look amazing. Finally drove a V will never think about that again.

335's lots of power potential - but comparing a highly modd'd engine to a relatively stock one is never fair. take the meth injection off - thats like running on race gas practically. not to mention if one of those nozzles fail the motor pops from high intake air temps or from hydro-lock. If you want to argue that route - a turbo supra or a gtr is way better car. bottom line is any of these cars will never make low end torque that a big v8 has and will always have turbo lag.

C-63 motors are limited on mods. Yea thats what happens when things are designed properly. No options for camshafts - because they are already so versatile and badass. headers/exhaust tune. then all you have is a blower? Well thats usually the car for poorly designed engines minus getting cylinder heads replaced with better castings and a camshaft. AMG saved you the 5k$ for that one. Didnt sacrifice drivability and poor idling for it either. Atleast with stage 2 blower kit injectors and fuel pumps arent need either. Most fast cars have a turbo, blower or nitrous and non are running the factor equipped version if they came with one.

One mod people over look is the sls intake manifold but it's not cheap and wont fit without modifiction but theres alot of top end boost.

Auto.

Auto's are faster in the 1/4 mile versus the manual. I think the fastest manual V has run 10.8 and the fastest auto ran a 9.4

And for those that think GM makes crap you are sadly mistaken because my V is much better than my C63 ever was in just about every regard. Handling, acceleration, ride comfort, road noise, interior(subjective) but my C63 was a 2010 so it was prior to the slight interior update in 2012. What I liked most about the C63 was the steering wheel and the exhaust tone.

Here is my cammed V. Does it sound like idles poorly? If a car is properly tuned it will idle and drive like stock. Mine does.

And you can barely here that on the inside. Like a Caddy should be.

Pretty sure a CTS-V is caddys most expensive product though...Lol..this is like comparing a C63 to a GTR basically..C63 is mercedes entry level pretty much and it is still comparable to caddys highest level ....Hell the CTS-V comes stock with a blower..it should be smoking a C63 with a tune and headers. Although the caddy is quite a bit cheaper then a C63..their platforms also been out for 10x longert

that CTS-V does sound sick though petro

Sounds great petro, love the hint of a loopy idle.

I looked at getting into a ctsv but I just like the feel of the c63 better and not cause it's a Benz I could care less about that crap.

Thanks guys.

I loved my C63. I wasn't trying to put it down in any way, it's a great car. For me the Caddy is a better overall vehicle. Others will feel differently and that's fine. I'm a car guy first, I don't care about the emblem on the trunk. Benz, BMW's, Audi's, GTR's, makes no difference to me, they're all special in their own way.

The C63 exudes so much more class than the CTSV. My own opinion though.
