Race Start and the track
So myself and a couple friends are heading out to the track tonight to do 1/4 mile times...
I have yet to try RS -- is it going to make a huge difference in my times if I don't use it?
Any input is appreciated.

My best times at the track were when I used the following combo: drove around the water box, scrubbed the tires (not a full burnout) traction control in Sport handling mode and gear selector in S+ mode. Roll into the throttle off the line and have it mashed by the 60 foot mark with our glorious exhaust screamin'. This resulted in a 12.228 at 115.90mph bone stock with P31 pack.
Have fun out there because that's what its all about!

I used Sport handling mode for the traction control (we have three modes: on, sport, off). But If you mash it off the line in any mode you'll spin the tires and either traction control will cut in (if its on or in sport) or you'll just sit there and spin for a little bit (traction off). That's why you should roll into the throttle.
If you have the opportunity, give race start a try. You're on a track, and you paid to be there, so take advantage of it! It just didn't yield my best times.

Not sure exactly what other stock cars are running, everyone that was there was pretty astonished though. I was as well. I was expecting 12.5 or so. I also have the factory limited slip diff which helps out the power down better. I guess F. De Guisseppe built one hell of an engine for my car.

New to the C63 world but Road andTrack says their best time was without RS using the break and feathering the throttle off the line. Have not tried it yet. Still getting used to the car.
