Pull the dipstick, does it look the same as in the can. If so do you do a lot of short drives under 5 miles or do you let the car sit for long periods and just start it up and let it idle.
That looks like condensation in the oil and it the same in the pan, drain it, cooler also, refill with proper oil, new filter and then go for a drive on the highway for twenty or thirty-fifty miles and let the engine get up to operating temps and burn the residual water out of the inside.
Not to scare you but how is the coolant level, added any or is it low, that goop is not what you would normally fine in a catch can or oil pan.

Yes do not let the car idle, throw a battery tender on it and forget about it. Idling these cars is not the best method, they need to be driven or parked. My cars sit all winter with just the tender on, oil change before putting away.
Drain that crap out of the car, no more idling. Do not drive the car with this goop in there, do the oil change and filter for sure.
Good Luck

when you do the oil change, try to take the car for a 5 mile drive after pulling off the under panels, remove the drain plug carefully as the oil will be hot, drain to get the most if not all out of the pan, oil cooler too. Refresh with new oil and filter. A car sitting will not pick up moisture but idling sure will.

Mort, mine is dry too although it does smell of crankcase. Thinking on putting some oil in it so I do not feel left out. 07 E63 120K
Maybe I should contact Weistec about a defective CC,

dumb question, but what do we do with oil we find in the can? put it back in the engine, or chuck it? I know the Audis have cc's from factory, and the oil gets routed back into the engine...

Personally would just throw it away and keep and eye on the dipstick as you should check periodically anyways the amount some guys are finding sounds like they should check it weekly.
Top up engine with fresh oil, not from the CC, "what if" dirt or metal wool particles from the CC happen to drop into the CC and then you place that into your engine.

LOL....I think I will let mine fill up on its own. Watch out how you contact Weistec or JR may flame you...LOL.
I am hoping that means my intake manifold is relatively oil free.

Mine is still bone dry. I've put about 1500 miles on since installation, although mostly highway, and the car only has about 3000 on it total. Maybe it takes a while for enough oil to collect in the system before the collector can even catch anything?

My experience in the past with AOS's is you have to beat on the car to get oil to collect.
