Those are nice. Not fast but sounds amazing and looks cool. You can pick one up for a huge discount off msrp too. Not sure about how reliable they are but I have a couple friends that have one and they havent complained.

The F10 M5 is my daily for over a year ... but I can't hear any engine/exhaust sound through the speakers. I'm sure it's there, but my ears can't locate where it's coming from ... and I tried What I can hear is the exhaust when the sunroof is open. I can also hear the waste gate on full throttle upshifts ... which is quite loud.

Does my M5 sound as good as my x-piped no resonators CLK? Sure doesn't ... no turbo will ever sound as good as a naturally aspirated engine. Before the F10 M5 I had an E63 M6. I still miss the sound that V10 made at 8200. However, sound coming from the tail pipes is not everything ... at least to me. The way the M5 pulls makes my CLK feel like a weakling.

To OP: The F10 M5 is a great car ... so is a C63. Can't really go wrong with either one

^ XFRS is also like 90k. Or at least it will be M5 money so if I was going to spend that much now I'd get the M5.

Just going to do a little downsize gents. A more affordable C63 for me and then mod it the right way. Drive it, love it, upgrade to an E63S down the road

In my honest opinion, just go with the plan and get another C63. Seems like you heart is set and you haven't been able to find a suitable replacement. You have a million reasons on why you want it and a million other reasons on why you don't want the alternatives!

Haha fair enough. I guess if you're too worried about possibly voiding the warranty by cutting up the exhaust, then sky is the limit!

^ To get into a decent, low mileage, 2012+ CLS you're looking at 80k. 2014 m5 is still 90k. The E63S is 100k.

C63, shipped, taxes, fees, + a 5k dive on my RS4... 60k.

Good luck, all great options. I would think a 2012ish C63 + mods + wheels or a used stock F10 M5 would both be great options!

Car wont make it up to me until the weekend or maybe early next week. Then going to give it a head to toe look over before accepting it. So, is this 100%? No. However, clean carfax and low miles among other things and I think this will work out well.

I'm hoping to be the owner by middle of next week. Worst case is the car doesn't check out and I move on to the next one. There were a few out there right now I was willing to take.
