Mode Carbon Diffuser Installed

The installation went well, fitment is great as expected with an MC product.
The tabs were a lot more difficult to get in on the MC diffuser than the eBay one I recently installed, just seemed more snug.
I am fighting with the fact that I went from a Big Fins (eBay diff) to a diff that has a bit of a different design and smaller fins. Having said that the quality is what is keeping this diffuser on my car. If someone were to come out with a comparable quality product in a Big Fins, I would probably go for it. Although, the smaller fin design does look a little more refined.
As you can tell I am on the fence with the diffuser, but only because of fin size, quality is really nice.

Here are a few iPhone pics just showing the quality and fitment. I will do a proper shoot soon showcasing all of my current mods. But for those interested in MC and curious about quality and fitment, here you go. I will post a few more as well, but for now here are few.

I might consider after I went back to OEM diffuser.
How much was it?

When you say snug, did you have to fight the install?

When I say "snug", It fit as I am sure they wanted it to. I wouldn't say it was "fight-free" lol. Having said that, there is a little trick I learned along the way.
Take a long narrow screw driver and get in behind the bumper and put pressure on the bumper cover from the back (near the tab area you are trying to push in) and reach around and push on the diffuser. Otherwise as you push the tabs in, the bumper moves and you cant get the right amount of pressure on it to slip it in the slot. (Man this could be said to have innuendos throughout after re-reading lol)

As for price, I don't want to be a DB, but I respect the confidentiality of MC and will let them get back to you on that.

It looks good man! I finally got my big fin diffuser installed as well a couple of days ago. The fins are huge and make the back end look menacing! I can throw some pictures in this thread if you're interested in checking it out. Otherwise I don't wanna cluster your thread.

Here are a few pics and my thoughts about it. I love the big fin look. They are huge and definitely make the back end look menacing. The fitment is decent for a product from China. Now, I didn't install it myself so I wouldn't know exactly but I had to pay $100 to my local shop guy for it. He custom fabricated metal brackets for it and put screws on. So whatever installation issues there were he dealt with them.

The only thing I visually don't like is that part on top of the exhaust tips. It's almost too big over there and covers the exhaust tips a bit too much for my liking. Other than that I am happy. I guess I could have the exhausts extended out but cutting and all would mean voiding the warranty. If I go that route I might as well install x-pipe and resonator deletes and what not but I don't want to do that.

I also wanted to thank you and MC for the premier customer service provided while selecting my next diffuser through the actual sale and delivery process.
The diffuser certainly is a piece of art comparatively speaking.
My previous diffuser buying experience (product wise) left a lot to desire by way of quality!
I have no regrets as the lower fin profile is actually really growing on me as the Big Fins may have been a bit overkill for such a classy car.

Yeah I see what you mean over the exhaust tips. As long as you enjoy it bro.

Side note, my original diffuser is still for sale fellas. I know it has some issues, but I will post up some pics of it soon in my other thread now that it is off the car. I do have 2 serious buyers atm, but no deposits have been taken, I didn't want to take any deposits until "off-the-car" pics were provided.

looks like the heat from the exhaust pipes might melt this diffuser overtime. I like the modecarbon for sure.

Hmm...I have no idea. I doubt it very much though considering it's only slightly over the tip. The modecarbon or any other diffuser sits a few cm's behind. I guess we will see over time. If it does do something to it, I will switch to something else I guess.

I like the look of the chinese one, but can;t stand the fact that it covers the mufflers.

It mostly only covers the inner exhaust tip. The outside one is fine. But yes, that thing sort of disappointed me as well. But it was only like $3000 or something...so I didn't have high expectations.

My Pre-FL diffuser from Mode Carbon has been ordered. Appreciate the install tip.

That is not an issue with the diffuser, but rather an issue with the fitment of your exhaust. Mine also hangs lower on the left side. If you've gotten custom exhaust work in the past that's probably what caused it.
