C63 service requirements?

My c63 is on 40k miles at the
Moment and will be due a service soonish, does anybody know what the required elements of this service are?
Also, has anyone done these themselves? I'm fairly competent and usually do the general services and such on other cars but these are a bit different!

Your maintenance manual is pretty descriptive of what's to be done. I follow it for major items such as transmission service, and let the on-board system tell me when to do regular maintenance such oil and filter changes.

Joe

At 40000 miles or 4 years:

Service 2/B - lots of checks and cabin filter replacement

Service 3 - Oil and filter change

Service 4 - Check bodywork & undercarriage for damage & corrosion
Service 4 - Replace brake fluid

Service 8 - Replace air filters
Service 8 - Replace diff fluid (can't hurt)

Service 10 - Clean & lubricate sliding roof rails

Service 20 - Auto Transmission - oil & filter change

Phew - long list

Need to do tranny fluid change too? Anyone know the cost of parts only . Fluid, filter etc? Trying to figure out if worth DIY or dealer. My last Mercedes, I had to drain torque converter. Is this still the case with our cars?

Yes, it's required if you want to follow the book. Here's a link to my posting of what I did.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...vice-done.html

There's no fill tube up top. All work is done from the bottom, and yes you should also drain TC. To do a really complete job you should also flush new fluid thru the fluid cooler that's on our V8 cars. I skipped this part.

In Tucson, the AT service is $4-500.

Regards,

Joe

Off of my invoice
8 gear oil 001 989 68 03 13 $20 ea
6 screws 0049903512 $1.70 ea
1 gasket 2202710380 $16.50
1 oil filter 2212770195
Also 3 " ring, general, M " 007603-012102 oil pan, cooler & tranny sealing rings???

Total labor for the tranny and a service A5 was 3.2 hours
They didn't break down the labor
Perhaps someone has the A service labor time , my guess an 1 hour
So tranny ~2 or so

Might be worth just outsourcing this to get it done. :-/. Got a quote of $350 for everything. Didn't know it needed 8 @$20

I figured it would be better to have someone do it who had done it dozens of times
My time is worth something and on jack stands would take me much longer

It takes 5 w/o the convertor and 8 with it

Made financial and outcome based sense to have them do it

Just returned from a nice drive and the car feels great
Tranny service
Wavetrac
Tires
Alignment

Feels really good
