Call again.
My guess, driver error. More power in a car that struggles for traction in the first place means you need to adjust how your drive.

Don't know about that.. Set my tire pressure to the same thing I had it 2 weeks ago.. Very similar weather and used launch control?? So don't think to much driver error there buddyOriginally Posted by PurpleHeartAMG

Can't hurt and seems to reset and allow the car to adapt to the new tuneOriginally Posted by MikeTc63

Doesnt it take around 200 miles for the tune to 'settle' down. basically, the ECU has to adjust to the new tune.

Could be a few things going on here.
1. Did you buy the car used? Previous owner may have had a tune on the car already and that is why you don't feel a difference.
2. Post data from your time slips. Mainly 60' and trap speed.
3. Tune either didn't take or something funky going on there.
Regardless, I would start with technical support from Eurocharged and ask for advice.

The best I can gather is as you drive, the ECU tracks driving behavior and starts to tweak baseline settings (fuel map, etc) with a set of deltas. These tweaks don't change the baseline tune at all. Doing the ECU reset erases these adaptive changes. I would think when a new baseline tune (v5) is applied, the procedure should reset these adaptive tweaks as well, but maybe not? I'm not an expert, but I can tell you that when I do the reset periodically, the responsiveness drastically changes (mine is a dd).

The trap speed would be higher if what you are saying is the case. The tune should net more HP and thus a higher trap speed regardless of E/TOriginally Posted by PurpleHeartAMG

Regardless, you'll feel a difference with a tune if you went from non PP no tune to a tune.

Buth runs were on tunes
That is a good deduction

Yes, that is a possibility, and what you said about a slower E/T due to extra power making the launch more difficult is spot on as well, however the lower trap speed 100% kills that theory. Bad launch will almost always equate to a higher trap speed.Originally Posted by PurpleHeartAMG

The day I went 9.1 these were my E/T's and Traps, as you can see with each improvement of E/T there was a noticeable reduction in trap speed.
9.63 @ 155.5 1.63 60ft
9.60 @ 155.0 1.59 60ft
9.49 @ 153.8 1.51 60ft
9.17 @ 150.4 1.47 60ft

I agree, which is why I moved on to the possibility he was already tuned. Originally Posted by jrcart

Which is now confirmed he couldn't have been tuned. Originally Posted by MikeTc63

Has Eurocharged answered the phone? At this point, if the car was not tuned to begin with, and trusting that your butt dyno is accurate and your driving is consistent, I would have to say the car didn't get properly tuned and you should return to a stock map and reflash.

Wouldn't Eurocharged know if the car was tuned because you have to send them your original ECU map before they e-mail you the tuned map.

OP what dealer tuned you?

Hmmmm....Something is not adding up, as I already stated car should have trapped faster regardless of E/T. Was there a huge head or tail wind one day? Same track, similar temps, weather, DA and over all conditions should have been running quicker with the tune. Originally Posted by MikeTc63

This is a perfect example of why I always like to get a baseline dyno figure before starting on mods. It is nice to be able to see how much power a specific mod netted you.
The good news is Eurocharged is a reputable tuner and will get to the bottom of it if there is any issue with the tune. You are in good hands.

At least with the handheld, you can't download the stock tune from our cars. It pulls down an ID file (VIN, something else?) from the ECU and then EC encodes the tune file with it. Then they send you both encoded stock and tuned files back.Originally Posted by fraktv
