Buying a Built Engine Package with heads, transmission etc from Weistec is the best thing to do.
I'd rather do that than have someone i don't trust in Aus build me something. It's an AMG build, not a SR20det Nissan.
Weistec know their ****. They know it to the point where millionaires and royalty in the UAE choose to use them to work on their cars.

Single cylinder misfire pretty much rules out o2 or MAF sensors. Plus running on 7 out of 8 cylinders you wont notice any power loss unless at WOT or racing.
At the end of the day a misfire can be caused for alot of things, but chances are it is your plugs.

I started the car this morning and the CEL has gone, so not really sure what to do now.

Might we worthwhile to drop into your dealer and get a diagnostic scan run on the car. Just for peace of mind. I've had the occasional cloud of smoke on start up / low on oil after 4000km, which I've been told was totally normal on these cars.
Either way hope you get it sorted.

Took me a while to get used to the paddle shifters.....
BLUSH!&* My tuner looking at my log saw I'd run 9300rpm when I went from 2nd to 1st instead of 3rd.... eeek! These are STRONG ENGINES. My Chev LS3 would have been in little plastic bags and a wheel barrow if I tried that. That was when it had only done 2800km. Done 9900 now and about half of that in Targa Tour events - runs like a clock and can hold a Lambo G 560 and pretty much anything else exotic I've come up against.
Hope you can get 98 - I cringe when I see people adding 91 into their AMG's (note to US readers - 91 down here is like 87 there).
Looking for 500rw - am at 458rw now with stock exhaust. These 507's are very fast cars.
Ran Nitto NT01's on Targa. 245 front and 275 rear on 18" rims. Sticky and awesome.... and not bad in the wet once warm
Anyway, if anyone has any tips for getting traction lol, the best stereo settings and any modifications that would be appreciated!
Lowered on HR's, Eisenmann exhaust, ADV 08 TS, CF intake and giro disc 2 piece rotors. Love the car!
