PlastiDipped Badges / Wrapped Trim / New Grill Install
Got a decent amount of work done tonight.
Only issue with the dip is that it is somewhat textured.
Wrap went flawlessly. Minimal bubbles and took me around an hour to do window trims, both top and bottom, and the trunk, which I redid as I ripped my initial install off from last weekend.
And the grill fits perfect as you can see in the pic. The fitment is as good as oem.
I hope you enjoy.
I will try and do an entire somewhat proper shoot this weekend, but dont want to waste too much time atm as I will be doing a full shoot once I get the springs installed.

Nice! Show some pictures after the install of everything.
You installed the widow trim wrap without removing it? Did you use that tape thing ordered or a proper 3M wrap? Instead of ordering chrome emblems and plasti dipping them, why didn't you just order the badging in black from ebay?

Yes I installed it on the car, and was able to wrap all edges and corners. Yes I used the 3M trim wrap I bought the other day.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I have worked with film in the past which I am sure helped with the install, but really this is a total DIY-er.
I'm still on the fence with the grill. It is the blackest object on the car. It stands out, just not sure if it is in a good way.

Thanks Ross.
Ahhh man, you had to get me thinking about more stuff.... Lol
Nah man although many do not like the cf caps and the old school mirrors, I'm keeping them.
I will say, I am more than likely goin to go back to the oem grill and put this up for sale. I gotta get it out of the garage today and get a good look at it.
I guess I just really like the oem grill.

Really nice work
Looks sharp and not 'too much'
Hard to say on the grill without seeing it in person
Although the black one does fit well
And black goes well with white
Either way, cool

Nah, I am a big fan of the oem wheels. Maybe if I find something that's blows mind, but for now sticking oem wheels.
You think...? Well I will leave it on for a bit and see if it grows on me.
Thanks bud.
Thanks.

nice work, looks good. you know I noticed that even the "gloss" vinyl wrap isn't even close to the true gloss of the black paint on my car. I ended up using satin black and "gloss" black wrap for my trim pieces, but haven't done my grill yet, but will probably wrap it too. Your grill may be just true gloss and so may be contrasting the satin vinyl everywhere else. Just a thought. great looking ride tho.

Just curious about the carbon bits on your mirrors, the 3m pieces, if you don't mind... do you like them, where did you get them from and hows fit and finish? Thanks!

So you changed your mind and went for plastidip at the end of the day .
Result is great!
As Meng mentioned you need new mirrors

I may not install them. If I decide to keep the grill (still on fence) I may strip the dip, sand the pieces and spray paint them to ensure a glossier finish than my results of Glossifying the dip have granted.
I like my mirror caps. Lol
When I get the time to get my car to the body shop for calipers I may have them shoot my mirrors gloss black if I keep the grill.

I would avoid removing the side-view mirrors, IMHO.

Jason at 55Tech is shipping me a new grill. This time I went with a single fin with chrome trim. I am thinking this will solve my dilemma of being on the fence with the black but giving the single fin style. I will install that and then compare the 2. I am personally a fan of the chrome grill. This will also allow me to keep my chrome badges. I will most likely keep the blacked out window trim though as it blends nicely.
Nice part is I don't think he will require me to return the old one. We shall see...
I will keep you guys posted on my decision.
