Optima Search For The Ultimate Street Car
I just thought I would let you guys know that the first episode of the new season of Optima's Search For The Ultimate Street Car airs this Friday 8/1 on MAV TV. As some of you may or may not know I am one of the featured drivers and have participated in 4 of the qualifying events so far this year in my Weistec powered SLS BS and also registered my Weistec Powered C BS in the Daytona event where Steve, one of the owners of Weistec piloted that car. It is a really cool racing series, where else can you pit a 850hp SLS against a 650hp GT-R against a 750hp 1969 Camaro? The outcome of some of the events may surprise you.

Damn Dish........I tried to set the DVR and it doesn't show channel 361 available ( which is what the MAVTV site says it is ) . I make a call to Dish to find out what is going on and they tell me that it use to be available for all Dish customers but it is now only available for certain packages and it's channel 258 now . I check it and I don't have that channel either but they will add it to my package for an additional $10 a month . I guess I will catch the show floating around the web some other time .

Did you qualify for Vegas? Vegas is the final, you have to qualify or have you car picked from the showroom floor of the SEMA show. I may do Michigan, not sure yet. Headed to Sturgis tomorrow to pick up my new SLS inspired supercharged Harley bagger. I will decide on Micigan after I return from Sturgis.:-)

Here are a couple. Bike was not 100% complete at Sturgis. PM 6piston caliper and a custom HID projector headlamp still need to be instaled along with a couple more pieces of powder coating.
Now I have to ask. Ive seen the pics and the videos. Ive read the posts. Its all been car based though. My question is: Are you this full on with everything you do, or this "your thing"?
Set any records on any Double Black Diamond ski runs, for example? Installed any 40 seat 80,000 watt home theaters that have an acrylic wall overlooking a tank full of albino manta rays that have had your initials tattoo'd onto them? Thrown any parties for every living Playboy bunny where you served BBQ Kobe Steaks to lions ridden by midgets that were dropped by parachute from a Blackbird piloted by Sully Sullenburg with Chuck Yeager riding shotgun as roman candles the size of phonebooths were shot from the wings? Are you calling the Big Ginger during Superbowl and telling him to contact the ref and overturn an on the field ruling? Do you call the White House the Casa Blanco and have your own suite complete with a hot tub full of Ace of Spades bubbling away?
Pretty sure you understand my question but in all seriousness, I'm actually not asking you to share your exploits, just wondering where the car thing ranks amongst your interests more or less. And then I just plain got carried away but it was kinda fun.

If you're gonna do something might as well do it right. Cars and bikes are my big hobbies, I own a lot of bikes and raced Superbikes for several years back in the 90's. I own a few ATV's one of which is an pretty sick highly modded KFX450, I own a sled, nothing special bone stock Polaris 800. I do own a Renegade Fun Mover with a stripper pole in it though, it came in handy last week in Sturgis
I am going to have to look into the Playboy bunny, lions and midget thing...that sounds like it might be interesting. I did hire a couple midgets last Decemeber to come to a nigthclub in Vegas with me for the Naughty Santa Christmas party where I had them dress as elves and serve us drinks at our VIP table lol, that was epic.
You go boy!!! I think we need to put your carbon card together with my imagination, and we could throw a helluva bash. I turn 50 this year so I'm going to throw a "Halfway to A Hundred" party, with giveaways that say "Be There", the date of my hundredth birthday in 2064 and an illustration of a granny working the pole.
