Why do some C63AMG owners try messing with a C6 Z06???
"Uh, hey guys, um, I'm in college and I am deciding between a Z06, a ZR1 and a C63 AMG. Tell me which one I should buy and why."
And then earlier in this thread he just goes ahead an throws out "yeah, that's why I'm buying a ZR1."
Oh and he's now talking ***** on a quarter of a million dollar supercar. Apparently his imaginary Z06 will smoke it in a race. Who knew.

Obviously my Z06 is imaginary. I don't have one, who said I did? LOL
Also, "um hey guys um"? I don't remember ever phrasing anything so awkwardly, but maybe you're just going back to when you were 20 years old
I've got a lot of respect for BLKM3 because he's an older (than me, at least) member with some SICK cars. He can talk down to me all he wants (he hasn't yet, seems cool, we've just been debating) but you guys? Not a chance anything you say means anything to me LOL

But I highlighted your most important point. I agree completely, but I still think it's cool that Chevrolet, I mean CHEVROLET, can make a car for 80K-100K that can beat a 458 stock for stock around a track. Stock for stock meaning tires as well. When the ZR1 beat the Viper GTS around Laguna Seca, SRT went back and did some tweaking on the car but they insisted leaving the same Pirellis on that car. The TA came back and beat the ZR1. I think they changed suspension and slight aero, don't quote me on that. If Ferrari wanted to make up for the second of gap, I bet they could without touching the tires or power. But it would probably compromise something in the car (drivability, comfort, whatever) which would lead them to leave it the way it is.
And obviously not speaking from experience, the 458 is definitely the easier car to drive. Just being a DCT makes it easier, nevermind the rest. But you put the same experienced driver in both cars and they'll be able to get a faster time in the Z06. You could put the PS2s on the 458 as well, but now you're in the realm of modifying the car from stock and the whole comparison is messed up.
I would rather have the 458 any day of the week, I really would. But I like that you can buy a used Z06/Z07 for 50K and have, if you're a good driver, a car the performs on the same level as the 458.
