I'm not a serial street racer, but I guarandamntee you if I pull up on something that looks like a good run, whether I win or lose I'm chasing it down! As long as the surroundings aren't "non-conducive" to a safe run that is.

I know some are going to say, "no street racing leads to a safe situation", well your probably right, but every single one of you on this forum has had their cars over 80mph, and got there quick, what's the difference if there is another driver beside you with open lanes ahead?

And if you're going to say "well it's illegal", then I will say, so are my tints, and just going 1mph over the speed limit is illegal also.

Like I said, I'm not an avid street racer, but if the situation is asking me to throw down, you better believe I am game as long as we are alone.

I am going to guess that the majority of the members on this board is the same as you. to religiously read and share their passion about cars and not take the chance when the opportunity presents itself is hard to believe. However, people here just say street racing on the whole is bad... good for PR.

I'll have to pray for forgiveness. A new R/T charger with the 707 motor supposedly, with hour old paper license plate got on it from about 40-45. I nailed it and run away from them. So, I'm questioning the performance of these new rods. I have no real idea of what the numbers are for the C63 but good, I'm sure. I did try to catch a Vette, woman driving on a curvy mountain road or well with one big curve. Drove it many times before. Got on it enough for one gear downshift and the rear end wanted to come loose in the curve. Not enough shoulder, for me. She was fast but i backed off...coward. Had a group of Bikers, nice guys, come up on me, on familiar curvy road, so i knew how fast was comfortable. The Biker up for it caught me on a few curves, i ran away from him on any straight section. We stopped and talked at a little store, I frequent. He couldn't believe a car could ran away from his bike. Harley I think. I would like to try the Tail of The Dragon but can't afford aset of tiers for it.

Nope, the R/T can now be had with the 392 from the SRT8. Strange, but true.

Are you referring to the Hellcat charger or challenger? I don't even think they've announced the charger yet.

That engine isn't available in the platform, yet. The highest you can go for the 2014MY is an R/T max (5.7L) or the Scat Pack Stage 3 (5.7L), again, in the R/T trim.

Tinbucket (no disrespect), by no means, met a titled, production Charger Mule with a Hellcat 707hp v8. If he had, and the driver engaged him, he would have been toast.

The "Dart-like" Charger body (available with the Hellcat) is scheduled for the 2015MY and has not yet released for sale.

Pulled a 1/4 mile on the C63? Um.. thats wierd. Even if the C63 was stock, the vette would not pull a 1/4 mile on a C63. I have a tuned one.. maybe the Z06 guy I raced before did not know how to drive, but he only beat me by a car or 2.. I pulled with a ZL1 Camaro.. same thing.. 1 or 2 cars.. Not sure if they could not hook, and I had slicks in the rears.

I did not bother reading the last 5 pages, only the first page.. cause its kinda stupid to begin with.. does this guy drive a C63? sounds like a Vette fan boy. I love Vettes, and totally not an AMG fan boy.. I like all cars.. but the guys exaggeration was a bit unbearable.

I am correct in saying that the 392 is also available in the current (2015) R/T.

From Motor Trend;

"The Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Challenger 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker are the two non-SRT models getting the 6.4-liter V-8..."

... And it's 485hp.

You didn't say that the R/T 392 wasn't available yet, you attempted to correct me and state it was a different package (non-R/T). Tin bucket could very well have come across an R/T 392 or a Hellcat .

Since it's obvious that you need it broken down, here we go...

You don't even have the hp numbers right. You could have just admitted "ignorance to the facts", but you looked for a drawn out petty argument.

You put your foot in your mouth with the "on dealer lots" diversion tactic. I guess you could allege that the Hellcat "doesn't exist" as it won't be available until Fall. However, have you read MT's test of the 2015 Hellcat? It was performed on the streets of Los Angeles. These 2015 Challengers are currently in production, you can put in an order for them (and you cannot order a MY2014), and they are currently being tested on the roads of the USA. What part of that is so difficult for you to comprehend. (Rhetorical question, as we already know it all got past you)

Again, the 392 is in the R/T (option pack.) and these '15 Challengers are currently being driven on our roads.

Stock C63? The C63 could easily be 1/4 behind depending on how fast the race was taken. 1 mile from a roll? C63 could easily be 1/4 behind.

Even a tuned C63 doesn't stand a chance against a stock Z06. The OP is right, they are simply not in the same category. As far as races go, I would race anything. If a Veyron pulled up next to my C63 or Z06 I would try to beat it as long as it was a safe environment to do it. Otherwise, keep it to the track.

ive got a friend with a c6 z06 i could race with my stage 2..... however his has headwork, cam, headers, and a supercharger... and makes 100whp more. however it does have 20" wheels with nitto invos. Maybe i can beat him till about 120mph when it will catch traction, if he has the ***** to stay in it that long haha.

I picked a fight with a McLaren early on a Saturday am. No other cars around. Got 4 good stoplight runs. He kicked my ***. We stopped at a starbucks and talked for an hour. We are still very good friends. We've even started a small car club that meets at the starbucks on Saturdays.

I would try and race him from a dig. Unless hes a good driver you would probably put enough distance on him in a short race (0-100) to possibly edge out a win.

I just ran a Zo6 about 45 mins ago couldn't wait to get home and tell u guys about it lol..

We hit it from 45mph to about 125mph , guys I hate to talk down about anybody BUT this was the worst driver I ever HEARD Period . Short shifting and the delays between gear changes was hilarious I was actually laughing while it was goin on lol... So we get to a red light and he asked , What u got done to that car? I was laughing and just responded with straight pipes and tune.. But I really wanted to say it has nothing to do with my mods or my car It's the way you Drive lol..

But I gotta agree with the op

We was heads up the whole race can't imagine how bad it would've beat me with a good driver.. I got a friend with a ls3 with catback and he beats me pretty easily..

Most people that drive C63's will try anyone in any car. It is one of the most underrated cars on the road so its the underdog all the time. "It's just a C Class" Whether it wins or loses the driver is usually always smiling!

I love it when they see you in front or right on their bumper and you see how pissed they are!
