how the heck does the high beam H7 bulb come out?
i looked at it for a while. i was able to remove the connector, obviously, but getting the bulb out is impossible for me, haha. i see three spring tabs. two up top sort of flanking the plastic pieces that "hug" the bulb base metal square tab and then one spring clip one on the bottom. there is no way i'll be able to press all three AND somehow get the bulb out. there just isn't enough room. ESPECIALLY on the driver side.
what gives? i looked in the manual, i searched this forum...i googled. everything. it looks ridiculously secure!

I did it when installing new diamond vision bulbs a while back and it wasn't difficult. But I don't remember what was the mechanism.... don't you have to press 2 spring tabs like in the video above?

I did a bulb change to Diamond vision as well but could not remember how I did it so I took a look. After you have the cover off reach in and grab the black connector on the back of the bulb and pull straight back. The three clips are just spring clips and will flex out of the way with enough pressure on them. To reinstall put the new bulb in the connector and push the whole thing straight back in. Again the three clips will just press back out of the way and close when the bulb is properly in place. This is the easiest way to hold the bulb to reinstall. The bulb has a tab on the bottom, if you are holding it in the correct orientation and it fits into a slot at the bottom of the socket in the headlight housing. Hard to see in there to see what you are doing for sure. GL

thanks guys. that video shows him pulling on the plug and the bulb popping out as one unit with the plug connected.
well, my plug comes off leaving the bulb in the housing. so, i am left with a bulb held in with three little spring steel tabs. there is one at 6 o'clock, one at about 10:30 and one at 1:30. so, there are three little tabs that have to be pressed so they back off of the bulb enough for it to be removed.
pulling on the bulb itself without somehow depressing all three tabs is not working. i'm going to pull the high beam housing apart from the headlamp before the bulb will release without these tabs being pressed...somehow.
