Rebuilding a 2008 C63 Perfomance Pack
Hi All,
first off I'm new to this forum so hello to all !!. I bought a smashed 2008 C63 on auction. I'm rebuilding it and all going well. I ran into a roadblock as I don't know where some of the wires go.
Please keep in mind when I bought this car basically the front section was already removed. The 1st pic is what the car looked like when I bought it. The 2nd pic is left front underneath headlight (keep in mind I'm in SA and we have right hand drive here) I can figure out were all the wiring goes as the small black x 4 connectors is obviously hooters, the small black and green gauge wire is for left front crash sensor, but what is the larger gauge wire for? You can't see it on pic but the colour coding is : Green with black tracer and brown. Then on the 3rd pic there is a yellow plug that I can't seem to find where it goes to? This is on the inside of the left front wheel well (cover removed). The 4th pic is just for reference what the car is looking like now the wheels are in for refurbishment at the moment. If anyone can assist it would be greatly appreciated.

The link posted above will probably help you a bit.
What do you mean by "hooters" ?
Isn't that big black gauge for fog lights? Do you have a front bumper yet?
That is great progress on the car knowing what you started from

Have fun, the car is actually pretty easy to work on. since you went through all this trouble, I would recommend you go out and purchase the STAR diagnostic tool. You can purchase a Chinese clone, typically in includes WIS, which will have everything you need, wiring diagrams included.
PS, where in SA are you (I myself while in the US, am from PE)

thanks for the reply guys...I bought a Launch C Reader but it's not working too good. I'm still waiting on the Prefuse box with the pyrofuse from agents. Maybe when I get that the reader will work properly. I'm in good old BRAKPAN lol...
Ps if I'm reffering to hooter I actually mean I think you guy's call it HORN

Okay I think I got my answer from the link thanks for that....If I look at the pic I see that there is a Secondary Injection pump Smog...so the 1 extra wire is for that...but I see that there is a crash sensor on the headlight housing...I'm assuming there is 1 on each side? Or on the 2010 model did they move them from the front bumper cross member? As on the 2008 they are behind the bumper cross member? anyone maybe know the part number for the smog pump? I see he was lucky airbags never popped mine did and I had to rebuild my dash as well....

When I reference a "hooter", it is generally found amidst the top portion of a women's upper chest region!!!
In any case, good luck with this build! Looks like fun, if you wouldn't mind, kinda keep this thread updated as you progress. Lots of information can be derived from these threads.

Hi, the smash sensor did not move. Since my airbags didn't deploy, and I was replacing the cross member, I temporarily mounted it out of the way. You should have one sensor on each side of the cross member. The other connector in the circled picture is for the smog pump/ horn combo. Hope that helps!
