Would you call me crazy if I trade in my 09 with 67000 miles on the clock for a 2013+ C63 with much lesser miles? My extended warranty will expire next year and besides, I could do with a fresher car with low miles. Having said that, I dont know if the timing is right with the 205 C63 round the corner lending chaos to w204 pricing. I gave the 2015 M3 a thought for a while but dropped the idea within 3 minutes since i dont want a first year model. Besides, there aren't many M3's for a test drive and one stealer told me to apply for credit check if i wanted to test ride one following which i promptly hung up without saying good bye.
A brand new C63 is also out of question since i am easily scoop something near new with low miles and let the 1st owner take the hit.
Anyone here picked up a 2013 non P31 with low miles recently?

I would do the jump for sure since u r running out warranty & ur car has high mileage. U will also get the peace of mind about having the new headbolts.

...the question is how much hit will u take to make that upgrade?

 

I had made up my mind to sell the car before warranty expires. plus this is my DD so i rack up 10k miles every year so good to have my a$$ covered by warranty. i think i can get around $30k for my 09. the 2013's i see listed are for around 55k without P31 but all other options. i know that its possible to get multiple $$k off a new C63 but i would like to get an input from someone who has bought a cpo 13 recently.
I dont have too many alternatives since i need 4 doors.

 

So around 25k$ to jump from 2009 to 2013+ .. I would go for it since u also get the fresher look of the facelift.

I'm not a fan of the w205 either so I wouldn't wait for the new model.

 

+1 i went with a 2014 c63 even though the w205 comes out early next year.

really love the look of the facelift cars as well

 

IMO the updated C63 looks better, and the interior is worlds better.

I say go for it, honestly the M3 engine, and next C63 AMG engine cant touch the legendary 6.2

 

I say get a true C63 while you still can. Ok, so 6.2, but truER. The real beast can be found with low miles to be loved forever so I wouldn't wait. I'll pass on a W205.

Once AMG has gone "Green" and then come to their senses, I'll reconsider.

"WOW" they want a credit check for test driving a M3 I think i would report the dealer.

I understand being a 18 year old and not letting them test drive a car,but even they don't want credit checks.

 

I listened to you guys. my beast is gone but i got a new one. got a great deal today and will post some pics as soon as i get the single malt out of my system in the morning
that put me off totally and i also realized i dont want an initial year model M3 which sounds a bit funny. i am not going to run any checks on any car just coz the dealer asks for it. i would rather drive a leaf.

created a new thread in which I put in some pics its a 2013 with 6500 miles on the clock. the in-service date is April 2014 so CPO warranty is good till April 2019 even though its a 2013. Has all features but for P31 and distronic plus.

 

how does CPO cars gets 5 years warranty & new cars only get 4 years? Do u have to pay for it like an extended warranty?

 

lol yeah. new car gets 4 years/50k miles warranty. CPO gets 5 years/unlimited miles
didnt have to pay anything. I declined the extended warranty which would have pushed it out to April 2021

So to give us an idea for those who wants to make the upgrade, how much roughly did the upgrade set u back.. 20-30k?

 

I bought my 09 in july 2012 for 42k plus taxes. got 30,300 for it but also had to part with some mods. new one set me back by 52k plus taxes, so a difference of 21,700 plus taxes which might sum it up to around 28k.
California, being the ****ty state for taxes, does not have the sales tax benefit for trade ins.

 

28k$ all in is not bad for going 4 years younger & 60k km less.
