Fortunately I already know this and have had my blinder system for a while now. If you see my second post I said I will be swapping the blinder system for ALP soon just need to find the time I'll probably do it all when I install my coil overs to minimize down time. It's a cat and mouse game no system is future proof even ALP some day

Very true which is why running with a product that stays on the cutting edge as does ALP will provide the best available protection..when you get your system and learn a little more about their innovative initiatives you'll see what you've been missing..I know learning from experience too..I just recently sold a 30 day old Blinder HP905 that replaced an LI to get this current ALP system..

Here you can see both heads as the transformation took place..
Blinder head upper..Alp lower..STiR+ behind lower center grill

And a pic to show STiR+ control module and Blackvue camera, Compustart/drone antenna in the background

And ALP control module with kill switch (Blue lighted rocker - to kill all STiR+ & ALP power and jtk when hit with laser)

KeepRtPassLeft,

great to have such a knowledgeable member on the forum. I also checked your website - thanks for all you do! I also looked a little closer at the sensors of AL and Blinder and found that while they look very similar, their dimensions are different. You are completely correct! :-)

Nanook - thanks for your pictures, these are very nice installs!

The Stinger has been installed in several vehicles and is being tested as we speak. A basic unit is about $5 K and a full boat unit about $ 7K with the Radar and Lidar defense. The gentlemen from LI (Laser Interceptor) on here (Cliff) is now a rep for Stinger USA and if interested, I'd contact him.

Its been around for a few years in EU and AU and is highly regarded by those who have used it, BUT you're going to pay out the nose for this very high end system. Is it worth it?? Again, the jury is OUT and its being tested as I write this. IN the meantime, the V1C with YaV1 droid app and the band segged Redline are still the way to go for windshield mounts and for remotes (if you can find one) the original Stir O (not the Stir +) is still the best around (currently). Testing shows that the Stinger is apparently on par with the Stir-O. More testing is needed to see how the Stinger is handling K falsing that is becoming prevalent. Very few units save for the Escort Max 1 and Max 2 are that adept at handling falsing on K band.

For city driving and close suburban areas with a LOT of K falsing from new GM vehicles, Audis and BSMs etc., the Max 2 is a very capable unit.

But 7 grand?

400 bucks for a V1 plus 35 bones for a hard mount, 20 minutes of my time, no wires and I'm good as I'll ever need to be.

PA troopers are ranked highly also
They also need a degree, used to be an associate but the competition is stiff so now a BS and from a major university like Penn State
Oldest in the US next to the TX Rangers
Started out infamously though as thugs for the coal companies and used as strike breakers
Now they are highly unionized lol

MA is very highly rated also 'Staties'

Ended up ordering the V1 with the iPhone accessory, going to get it hard wired and then post some photos.

You can tune it some with that v1 connect app, I got my to stop all x alerts and it quieted down some k but still get a lot of false hits . If you mess around with custom scan lists you could narrow it more

Waiting on mine to get here and moving the v1 to another car or save for road trips, too much effort to try and keep it quiet

I've had a V1 but man they are resting on their laurels. They haven't updated in years, it ever. How about a digital display or lighter body? I've dented my dash when the V1 fell from the suction cup. I'm going Escort next time until they update the V1.
