Anatoli's seat cover - a review

I bought member Anatoli's seat cover that he is having made custom for our seats, mine is in black leather. For years I've been throwing towels over various car seats during the hot season (9 months) and particularly when I leave the gym sweaty. It seemed Anatoli designed an easy-on easy-off tailored cover much as I would have preferred so I took the plunge and ordered it.

After using it for a while I'm pleased to report that it's worked out well. The leather is high quality and relatively non-slip. The cover itself can be put on in about 30 second and removed in 10 seconds, including the buckle at the rear. It's tailored in such a way that no creases can be felt while seated and provides a slightly "cushiony" feel. Before getting in I center the lower portion on the seat and tuck it in a little where the seat and back meet. It helps to get in with a minimum of sliding and the relieving a little weight on the seat and then tugging the bottom half into position, about 10 seconds worth of adjustment.

If anyone is interested I'm sure Anatoli will weigh in with more info. My final rating is 8.8/10...well worth consideration IMO.

looks terrible to me. I'd rather put a big t-shirt over the seat.

You just made your C63 look a cab. Looks cheap and horrible.

I have a cover I had made by my tailor made of black stretch cloth. It's thin and simple. I think something has to be done because our leather is thin and easily damaged.

The thicker the material, the less cosmetic IMO. But if it works, keep it on.

I don't think the OP keeps in on 24/7, just in times of need for protection.

If that is the case, looks functional and easy enough to take off when you don't need it. As mentioned though, not a great looking piece and I wouldn't drive with that on at all times. I doubt you do though...

Looks like someone put a black trash bag over your seat. How much?

That's correct. EZ on EZ off. Re. the appearance the amount of material (I assume) was calculated to expand into the recesses of the seat back but w/o leaving any creases. Anatoli figured that one out perfectly because there is no awareness of the cover once seated. I forget the exact price but via air post it was in the range of €115.

Good find Bart! Doesn't look that great but I'm sure it serves a purpose when u are dirty & sweaty. Looks much better than a towel although more expensive. Lol

Yeah ugly as hell but functional. I'm pretty sure once you sit on it it is not even noticeable from the outside while driving.
I just wonder if there are no other cheaper and similar product.

I bought one, but I bought it because it's thick and it's only going on when the car goes into a shop for work. So I don't care how "ugly" it is. Haven't used mine yet though. Just got it his past week

That's a good use, I can't believe how dirty my seat was after last year service. The mechanic must have rolled himself on the floor. lol
